the 53 players to 15 is probably one reason the NBA players can get a lot more?

That, especially when you consider the NBA salary cap is around $110 mil while the NFL sits at roughly $188 million. And that doesn't account for the flexibility of the former, while the latter's more strict and limited. So of course NBA players are going to make significantly more money. It's just how it is, unfortunately.

They could have if they missed on Kawhi. Damn near every decent role player option is off the board now. Whether they get Kawhi or not, all we're basically gonna be left with is washed players or very very young guys on the min. Getting Kawhi would smooth a lot of that over but if you miss, ooof.

But the Lakers still got AD. If they aren't 100% sure Kawhi's gonna sign they better start looking for other options right away before even more FA's are off the table.

Tough to play the guessing game, especially w/ Kawhi. But if was gonna go w/ the Purple 'n Gold why not announce it? The longer it takes the better chance he stays stays in Toronto?

I said this in a group text earlier.

Lakers are either going to be the biggest winners of free agency or the biggest losers.

It all hinges on Kawhi at this point. There is not a decent back up plan out there.
