Every Warriors fan loves Andre, but he's 36 years old, so I'm pretty happy with these moves. DLo is only 23, coming off of an excellent season, and there's every reason to think he will continue his development at Golden State.

If he gets bought out, the Lakers would be happy to add him to the roster.

Warriors only traded one first rounder to Memphis, right? Other people are saying multiple first round picks or three picks, but I thought it was just one pick that can roll over to the next season twice based on protections. What's the real deal?

Other that the obvious, that trade is with last season's salaries. Trade Machine isn't updated to reflect the 19/20 salaries yet.

Without knowing the details, I believe you’re right. I don’t think a team is even allowed to trade first round picks in 3 consecutive years (well, unless they own other first rounders.)

That's what I saw as well; top 4 (I think?) protected year 1, top 1 protected year 2, then unprotected. Pointless really, it will be a 2020 first.

at the end of the day, the sixers lead me to go to the grocery store, as that was the only option available for alcohol. as it were, I would have otherwise forgone the extra dollars needed to hit the dairy and produce plateaus to net me $15 free dollars next month by going with the ingredients for an eggplant Parmesan. just hope it tastes okay.

Your ranting about Horford is completely absurd for the record.

The Sixers had all of three players yesterday and one can't shoot and the other gets a stomach virus every other week. They made out very well.

do you guys know the Warriors have a new stadium and would NEVER give away multiple first rounders to just save cash on Andre Iguadala? Never would happen.

they have a new stadium!!!!! Did you know that? That they have a new stadium!!! ahahaha

I was also skeptical on their claims on the luxury tax

Cory Joseph to the Kings. 3 years, $37mil. Would have liked the total to be lower but he'll help the 2nd unit defensively while letting Bogi, Ariza, and Giles handle the offense.
Fox/Joseph
Buddy/Bogi
Barnes/Ariza
Bagley/Bjelica
Dedmon/Giles

Sure, or DLo will be a trade option when Klay is 100% (maybe by the deadline NEXT season) to bring in someone they need to better balance the roster (if that is a need). It's not necessarily that Golden State specifically wanted DLo, but he was the piece they could add via the Durant trade, and it will help bridge the gap to Klay's return better then over-relying on Iggy all season (and we also all remember Iggy's rant about the team recently).

I am a little surprised that DLo didn't wait for the Kawhi decision to agree, but maybe the Lakers already indicated to him that either they weren't going to offer him a max (which was the rumor going in).

Right.

The cost cutting move is just letting Durant walk and or trading Iggy.

Instead, they added salary by bringing in D’Lo.

Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel on Richardson. Could not say it any better. Problem with J-Rich is in Miami he was forced into #1 option role. He should be great in Philly.

Q: How would you sum up Josh Richardson? -- Jason.

A: The ultimate supporting piece, a complementary scorer who is miscast when cast as a leading man. Where he would fit best, I believe, is on a contender, where he could thrive in the background as a two-way player while working behind elite talent, something he rarely has had the opportunity to do to this stage. You are a better team when he is on your side.

I think this is a bad move for the dubs fellas

In the short-term, yes. Long-term, no. D-Lo's a 23-year old All-star guard that they got for a quality veteran player that's likely on his last year. Andre makes them a better offensive team, but D-Lo's got more upside and hopefully for the Dubs, can become a better defender.

Just woke up to DLo news and Kawhi to Lakers rumblings.
