I think in terms of pace he fits in better with Hall and Nico but is he a top line talent at this point?
Hard to say, depends on what you(I) expect of him... Any line with Hall, for the most part, Hall is the concentration... outside of Nico taking the next step, Nico would serve as the facilitator, link up, magician etc... for the most part an ideal partner to Hall. Simmonds benefits the most with the least attention for the most part, so Nico and Hall taking the aim of the opponents would allow Wayne to flourish(hypothetically) more so as he has proven to be... he has size to complement the other two, definitely not a dead weight with his ice skating, a smart IQ out there on the ice...

seems good

Subban is already one of my favs.... we're going to luv his character and charm here in the franchise... I hope the more proximate fans really cheer him on!

^ I saw that too. I prefer seeing that over the bathing suit stuff.

I would have preferred slightly less but whatever. It's one way so he'll be our healthy scratch/injury replacement candidate.

Zacha, Butcher and Mueller probably cost us around $9 million, the ELCs of Hughes, Boqvist and Smith are another $3, which leaves us around $6ish? Not much to play with unless we move someone.

Anything short of playoffs is a fail for the current IMO.

Hynes would need to be shown the door....

Wow. Ready for Hockey season to start.
Can't argue with Shero's off season so far.

Really curious what this does for our line combinations. Assuming he slots in on the 2nd, who is opposite wing, Bratt?

Meaning 3rd line wings are Coleman, Simmonds, Zacha(?), Boqvist? Is Zacha really going to be 4th line center?

I think Nasty called Gustev right? nice!

Well if this doesn't freaking tell Hall we're bleeping trying and making what looks to be a solid team, then idk what will...

I'm definitely optimistic but don't want to get my hope's up too much. I remember a star KHLer signed with Vegas their first year and was a complete bust, I think he went back to KHL 1 month into the season.

But if this guy is the real deal it gives us some real depth/flexibility and should make for some crazy camp battles for the last spot or 2.

If he plays above average, its gravy.....assuming we have a healthy #9 to go along with the Subban and Hughes additions. If Boqvist and Smith step up like many feel, Gusev giving us anything close to top 6 play would be such a huge bonus
