If I were the Cavs: if you like RJ that much try and trade up. If not, you can trade back with the Hawks and you still have a good chance to get two targets at 8 and 10.
Teams like cle need to draft their stars. THey need all the chances they can get.
My pistons fan friend said the hawks were working on a Blake griffin deal.
That can only get you so far, especially with the new draft format.
OUCH! Not a fan of Blake's at all, especially with his contract. $115M over the next 3 years. Maybe your Pistons' fan friend is wishful thinking?
Yep.....might eventually do that with Brandon Knight.crazy think about Crabbe is that you could just re-ship him at the trade deadline as an expiring contract if you wanted to take back some long-term bad money and probably get another asset.
Probably gonna need to build via a trade I think as tough to get FAs to come here.Sure, but at some point you want to stop wasting roster spots and cap space and chase FAs instead.
They might as well just announce they're not going after Davis.Clippers Not Willing To Include Gilgeous-Alexander In Davis Offer
June 7th, 2019 at 11:30am CST by Arthur Hill
The Clippers are among the teams reportedly trying to trade for Anthony Davis, but rookie guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander won’t be part of any offer, ESPN’s Bobby Marks said yesterday on The Sedano Show (hat tip to Larry Brown Sports).
The 11th pick in last year’s draft, Gilgeous-Alexander quickly became a starter in Los Angeles, averaging 10.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists while playing all 82 games. He also proved to be a capable playmaker and an aggressive defender.
Still only 19 and with a $3.95MM salary for next season, Gilgeous-Alexander would be an attractive asset to offer the Pelicans, but the Clippers seem determined to hold onto him. That makes it more likely that young, affordable players such as Montrezl Harrell($6MM in 2019/20), Jerome Robinson ($3.57MM) and Landry Shamet ($1.995MM) will be part of the Clippers’ offer. Danilo Gallinari ($22.6MM) may have to be included for salary-matching purposes unless L.A. uses cap room to absorb Davis’ salary.
The Clippers were on the list of four preferred destinations that Davis gave the Pelicans when he submitted his trade request.
If you love someone at 5 ya gotta take him. Though could take someone there for Atlanta who you like also and move him if someone you like is there when Atlanta picks. The 5 pick is nice having 3 picks may be better imo
I like it for Atlanta...trouble for them is if Cavs like those 2, as well.I agree with this.
I think they may be really into either Hunter or Culver. Moving up guarantees them 1 of those players.
They might as well just announce they're not going after Davis.
No probably about it... that's not the best offer... not even close. They have some picks to give up for other teams, plus Robertson who was a lottery pick and shamet, who showed some promise. It’s possible. Probably not the best offer though.

Shamet, Harrell and picks wont do it. Not even close
LOL. I just googled who Darius Garland's agent and you'll never guess who it is.....
