I expected the Clippers to take him instead of fake Dikembe.

But, I wanted Porter Jr.

You already drafted him.

Last year.

13th overall.

I am just glad the Lakers did not draft him and i would have to listen to DJ talk about how great he is going to be.

Agree. It would be almost as bad as what Wiggy would do if the Cavs drafted him. :D

Robinson looks like a wasted pick.

I hope I'm wrong.

That pick never made sense to me.

I still think yall should've taken Robert Williams, Porter Jr or Zaire Smith.

No doubt, flashes are great but with his body type that is just screaming "tons of talent but he won't last 3 years on the court, at least without missing a lot of time". I guess Shaq was just talking about upside but still if you can't be on the court, it's pointless.

Yeah, Bol Bol is actually a great 2nd round pick, imo. Obviously, the kid has a lot of talent of he never would have been considered a potential lottery pick.

If a team takes him and his body actually holds up (hopefully he'll go on 1,000 cheeseburgers a day diet lol) he could end up being an all tijme steal.

If he can't stay healthy and/or stays lazy, a team hasn't really lost anything.

Agree.

I don't think he will ever reach anything close to his potential.

But damn. At 44 that is hell of a value.

Sounds like a typical defensive minded thunder pick.

I never actually got to see him play, so I'm just going by scouting reports. These kids are typically better offensively first, so I would anticipate that he can score, but has the frame to become a defender.

Yep, at 44, if he just becomes a solid rotation player it's a hell of a value.

I'm curious as to how he got this lazy tag. He only played a handful of games very early in the season as an incoming freshman still getting a feel for his new team.

I preferred Claxton but all those bigs are in the same general rating area for me.

I think that was the general problem with this draft altogether for me. After maybe the top half of the first round or so, there wasn't a lot separating the rest of these guys. Well that and waiting for the Lakers to buy back into the draft, lol. I had the draft on all the way through, but definitely caught a few unintentional naps along the way...

A lot of ways to earn that.

But mostly those labels are earned during practice and workout times. Even lazy players usually show up and put forth some effort for game time.

That reputation could have also been with him before he even arrived at Oregon.

Not sure. I've seen it a couple of times, but really have no idea where it originated from.

Maybe some felt he didn't work/try hard enough to come back from his injury?

Apparently, it was a 6-8 week injury, so he should have been able to come back in February, but never did.
