Also... The B1G rules for recruiting are specifically different than other conferences. In the B1G, like in other conferences, you cannot sign more than 25 per class but you CAN back count to a previous class to take more. This Nebraska can sign 30 because they can back count 5 from last class.
The difference is, in the B1G you cannot over sign the 85 by more than three. So, if you have 20 open scholarships the most you can sign is 23... In that case counting back doesn't help and the 25 is a moot point. HOWEVER, with attrition Nebraska has 27 open scholarships... This to get to 88 they can take 27+3. However, that's when the 25 in a class rule kicks in, but since they didn't take up enough scholarships last year they can now back count five. Your brain hurt yet?
Suffice it to say 30 is the hard cutoff number, but they will take at least 27 for sure.
