why the (i think)? even with the later signing day, kids can still enroll early if they made their decision, at least that is what they did before they added this earlier day.

unless you meant for the 2nd part, that i would agree with. college can be very overwhelming, i couldn't imagine starting in the fall when you actually start football practice before school starts and so you are practicing and learning the playbook and then all the sudden need to go to classes on a campus you aren't that familiar with. with starting in January, you can get settled in on the class part and the campus. then just have to do conditioning and can start learning the playbook, which would definitely seem like the best way to ease into it.

Tony Wallace committed to TCU last night, Nebraska had been in on him but feel pretty good about where things stand with Pola-Gates currently. They would take Gates over Wallace even though Wallace has more experience.

Also, a reminder, that Nebraska and Travis Fisher do not recruit CBs and Safeties... they recruit defensive backs with the intention of getting Corners that can hit and safeties that can cover. So don't get too lost int he recruiting site designations of those positions. Gates is a DB and could fit all over the field for Nebraska. The same with every other DB recruit they have gotten this class and last class.

Imo Gates really wants to go to USC and he's waiting to see how their coaching hires go. Getting his cousin Mao to OV in January and seriously entertain coming here is a longshot but would give us a chance otherwise I don't see him leaving the WC

Big day tomorrow... I won't be on here until around 9am likely, but players will be sending in their NLIs starting at 7am tomorrow morning. I expect most of the current commits to officially be in the boat by 10am

I’ve heard all that have committed are supposed to sign except Desmond Bland (grade issues). Should pick up a few more too.

That's the idea... And Bland has some grade issues but should qualify after the spring, the question is... Does the Nebraska staff want to take a JUCO that can't enroll for semester.

Ahhh... So the list on the OP only includes verbal commits? I think I'm tracking.

Edit: Wonder if in the future there should be a separate section with other tracked non-verbal recruits?

You mean silent commits? Silent Commitments are so futile to track because they change and shift all the time. I think it would be frustrating. I'd stick to verbals, because that's more concrete.

did he eliminated Bama or was it the other way around? I thought you mentioned Bama not having room for him.
