why the (i think)? even with the later signing day, kids can still enroll early if they made their decision, at least that is what they did before they added this earlier day.
unless you meant for the 2nd part, that i would agree with. college can be very overwhelming, i couldn't imagine starting in the fall when you actually start football practice before school starts and so you are practicing and learning the playbook and then all the sudden need to go to classes on a campus you aren't that familiar with. with starting in January, you can get settled in on the class part and the campus. then just have to do conditioning and can start learning the playbook, which would definitely seem like the best way to ease into it.
