Yes, I think Westbrook is an idiot. He has yet to show that he's learned a thing. If he had, KD may very well still be in OKC and he may have a title. If he had, PG is likely still in OKC.

It's no coincidence that both KD and PG left him. Harden left too. He wanted to be "the man" and knew he wasn't getting the touches in OKC that he needed to get there.

So you just missed all of last season before PG got hurt? GOT IT

Not that easy when you're shoot 5-15 from the field, and should sub 30% from 3 and in the 60% range from the line.

Westbrook has always been a volume scorer, so he's never shot a great percentage, but his percentages have gotten steadily worse.

Maybe he finally figures it out and maybe he and Harden can figure it out. If they can, it'll be scary. But you can't blame folks for being skeptical.

So you're saying Russ is going to shoot 33% from the field this year? Even though he hasn't shot under 42% since rookie year?

LMFAOOO yeah I totally see that happening

So you missed every game he ever played with KD? GOT IT.

It's his fault KD FREQUENTLY deferred to him?

That is the reason KD went to GSW. He never wanted the spotlight on him.

So now we're going to blame Russ for KD deferring to him

Yeah, I said he's shoot 33%. If he shoots 42% from the field with a sub 30% from 3 and in the 60% range from the free throw line, he'll easily get 20 per game.

He's a career 43% from the field, a career 30% 3 point shooter and while he has actually been a solid free throw shooter most of his career (80%), he dropped to 73% year before last and 65% last year.

LMAFOOO Yeah, I totally see him being able to maintain the scoring average that you suggest with 5-7 fewer shots per game and that kind of inefficiency.

It's his fault he kept the ball and forgot he had a better player on the floor with him. He's the point guard. His job was to find open guys. They aren't supposed to have to beg him for the ball.

lol

You've made the same complaints when he and KD were together in OKC. Now all of the sudden Westbrook is gonna turn into some Magic Johnson/Steve Nash hybrid.

plus figure in the guy's ego. I doubt VERY SERIOUSLY he'll be happy getting a significant drop in touches...

and will CONTINUE to doubt it until i see different...

They were both at fault but the thing people on here like to do is blame everything on Russ 1000%

Just like the last 2 years when they got eliminated, everyone just ignored how shitty PG played and put the blame on Russ.

Nothing new to see here

I always appreciated the Warriors run the last 5 years, but watching them in the preseason made me want to throw my remote at the tv every other play.

I think the main drop off that people forgot (myself included) in the predictions of their record was how much of a drop off there will be defensively. Offensively the Warriors can still put up buckets and Steph and D'Lo are going to do their things. But the Warriors will NOT win games if they play subpar on offense. That's just not going to happen this year.

So you guys really think Russ is stupid enough to not realize his touches would go down?

Sorry but I think Russ is smart enough to know being traded to Houston means his touches will go down and if you paid any attention to preseason, it is pretty clear that is exactly what's going to happen

Yeah I mean even I'm guilty of giving Russ more blame than he deserves. But I think it's ramped up since KD left because we saw what KD could have become playing with another star who deferred to him. A reigning two time MVP recruited him and deferred to him. Russ never did.

Honestly I'm less concerned with Westbrook than I am with Harden tbh. If Harden had issues with CP3 on court, I don't see how he's going to get past that playing with Westbrook. Westbrook is still going to do what he's great at. But what is Harden going to do? Just gonna float on the outside like he did with CP3 when he was initiating offense?

Again, it's no hate.

But common sense says that when a player that has as many touches as Russ had the last decade joins a team with a guy that also has 90+ touches per game, someone is going to have to give something up.

Hey, it could all work out just fine. Only time will tell.

For me, it's hate (for Harden). Westbrook is a stat stuffer, but at least he's athletic, can play both ends, and plays HARD. Harden is a ref-baiter and is bad for the game IMO.

I know we're not supposed to talk football here but @dtgold88 @WiggyRuss , Browns are in deep shit if they lose this week. I did not expect Baltimore to win yesterday.

Lose and you're 3 out at pretty much the halfway mark of the season

They're playing the Patriots. Expect a loss.

I don't think anyone's saying they won't make the playoffs. They likely be worse than last year though. The two guys they left behind (CP3 and George) were both defensively motivated, which this pairing in Houston will be missing.

The whole league needs to expect another Patriots title this year. Best defense they've ever had.

More than likely. That Broncos game next SUNDAY is a must win if they're serious about the playoffs. Good thing for them is the WC in the AFC seems like it will only require 9 or 10 wins as well.

I'd hold off on that. They've gotten fat on games vs the Dolphins, Jets, and Skins so far. The Steelers have been unimpressive, and the Bills basically lost due to a blocked punt TD.
