Never said you shouldn't be pissed off. Point is you shouldn't expect fans of other teams to say "you guys deserve this" because you were trash for 6 years. That is nothing for most fan bases. Most fans of other teams would gladly take 6 years of struggle. Some on here (@Bolts @tlance) teams have not competed for a title for at least 10+ years and in Tlance case, I can't tell you the last time the Wiz/Bullets were legit title contenders.

1978 bro!

C's fan here...

Love ain't happening in Boston. Nope.

Not that I wouldn't take him if salary wasn't a consideration... but:

1.) I don't want him (nor can we likely fit him in) at 30 million per year.

and

2.) I wouldn't want to give up any of our salary guys to somehow make that deal happen.

------------

The Celtics are non-traditional at PF, but it has worked thus far and I wouldn't want to give up Marcus Smart or whatever to "fix that" with a Kevin Love.

Ditto for the Clippers who are basically the Celtics West.

The problem is his salary.

We would have to give up Harkless, Lou and Trezl to match salaries.

Hell to the no.

Denver, Portland or Toronto would be my guess.

All 3 have a large, expiring contract to get it done.

This ain't 5 or 10 years ago. Kevin Love got a lot more grey hair. :D

(I'm a couple years older than KLove... me too)

LOL at Love playing C for the Lakers....
If the Lakers nor Clippers are willing to sacrifice depth to trade for Iggy, can't see a scenario where they'd trade for Love who makes almost twice as much.

I wouldn't mind having him.

Just not at the cost it would take to make it happen.

If you need a floor spacing big, Gallo and Bertans are cheaper options.

LAC definitely no shot. As you mentioned, the guys the Cavs would want they wouldn't give up and the guys they'd give up the Cavs wouldn't want....maybe they would if they came with a bunch of picks, but their picks are in OKC.

Denver also my guess as they've wanted him for a while (though not sure same guys are running their FO).

I keep hearing his name around Phoenix talk radio.

I guess the Suns are going all in to try to make the playoffs.

Maybe they think a Love/Rubio reunion will get them over the hump?

Milsap is near washed and expiring.

They have a glut of small forwards and young guards.

Could totally see this happening.

My biggest question:

Do you insist on getting Michael Porter Jr. back in the deal?

I would.

Despite his high boom or bust potential....

Would make for a amusing issue for the equipment manager to sort thru with double Porter Jr's on the roster.

could happen....and think Denver has picks they could give up.

Though as previously mentioned I think really nothing Love can do they don't get from Jokic.

I said money wasn't a hindrance to acquiring Love. His salary is still a factor going forward. Basically making an assumption that every player had a 30 million dollar contract they could give up.
Forgot about Dallas.

Luka, Love and Zingers would be a nice big 3.

BUT, youd probably have to eat that Hardaway Jr. deal.

Eh

Jokic has been rather disappointing.

That team could use a boost.

If Phoenix is healthy, I think they eek into the playoffs anyways.

Who and/or what pick(s) would Phoenix have to give up? And for a 37 yo Love... ?

Doesn't seem like a good move for them, to me.

We are good

We may need Gasol to get thru Philly to stop Emblid

Several different scenarios. But, I'd probably roll the dice on this one if I'm the Suns.

Bleacher Report: What the Suns could offer for Kevin Love
Greg Swartz has the Suns giving Cleveland PF Dario Saric, SF Mikal Bridges and G Tyler Johnson in exchange for Love.

Kevin Love trade speculation: What would Phoenix Suns have to give Cleveland Cavaliers?

Great point.

I was actually thinking about Love replacing Ibaka.

But, it's not broke in Toronto. So, no need to make non-home run changes.

I like that they don't give up any picks in that scenario.

I'm 50/50 on it... wouldn't love it, but wouldn't hate it either.
