teams that actually do have 8+ guys that i would mostly trust:

Bucks
Clips (prob)
Nugz (prob)
Celts (of course) (KEmba, Brown, Tatum, Hayward, Theiss, Smart, Kanter.....get one out of Edwards, Langford, Ojeleye, Williams)
Nets are close (KI, Harris, LeVert, Prince, Allen, Dinwiddie, Jordan)
Jazz---- (Mitchell, Conley, Gobert, Bogdon, Exum, Ingles, Davis, Mudiay, ONeale, Jeff Green)

team that DEF dont trust 8 deep

-Rockets - HELL NAW (Harden, RW, Gordon, Tucker,
-Sixers - NAW (Simmons, JRich, Harris, Al, Embiid, ???? Scott? Thybulle? Smith? YIKES)
-Lakers- NAW BRAH (Bron, Davis, Kuzma, Green, ?? Rondo? Bradley? KCP? Howard?)
-Warriors- not without Klay- (Curry, Dray, Russell, ---? Looney? Glen Robinson III? Burks? yikes)

Next Tier Teams with Depth

Heat do not have the overall star power- but i trust their top 8- Butler, Winslow, Dragic, Bam, Onlyk, Waiters, Herro/Jones Jr.

Pacers- once Dipo comes back they go 8 deep---- (oladipo, brogdon, warren, sabonis, turner, lamb, mcconnel, holiday/mcdermott/leaf)

TT would be a gift sent from heaven for the Lakers lol. He would be perfect fit alongside AD too
while I totally agree- i think Clarkson might be just as good a fit if not better- as a guy that could make plays and get the ball out of lebrons hands once in a while. I want the ball in lebrons hands but you cant make him the full time point guard for 35 minutes a night 80 times over the course of a season- tahts not good. ---shit even Delly and his defense/hustle and ball handling would be a nice addition

how many guys on the Lakers do you trust in a playoff series at this point in their careers?

Obviously LeBron and Davis.

Kuzma and Green- (though Kuzma has never played in a playoff series and is a big man with foot issues so its hardly like he is a 100% slam dunk at this point).

Anyone else? You trust Rondo to give you good minnutes in a playoff series? Maybe?

In the playoffs you usually have a core rotation that is 8 deep--- and then maybe the 9th and 10th (and maybe even 11th) guys get some rando minutes depending on foul issues/matchups/garbage time etc.

Who are your 8 guys on the Lakers?

On the Clips?

1. Leonard
2. George
3. Beverly
4. Lou
5. Harrell
6. Shamet
7. Harkless
8. Patterson or Zubac?

Yeah, it's gonna be tough. Both teams have been top heavy, but much has been the case in recent years for the Warriors, so ultimately I'm not too concerned. You're really going all-in on hoping your stars will get you the championship and I'm relatively ok with that given the superstars in play.

Playoff setting, I trust Rondo. I'm not sure he's the greatest fit, but I trust him to not fumble the ball in high pressure situations.

I'd guess their core would be:

1. Lebron
2. AD
3. Danny Green
4. Kuzma
5. Howard
6. Javale
7. Rondo
8. Caruso
9 - rotation of Quinn Cook, KCP or Dudley given matchups.

I have Caruso in there because of his shooting. Dudley and Quinn are solid options but I think Caruso is a bit more versatile but we'll see his progress this year.

8 Deep is a luxury I think these days in the NBA. Not many teams will have that.

I think you have to consider the talent too at 1-4. Makes it much easier to bridge the gap the lower you go down the roster. I mean the Warriors have run out Nick Young, Jordan Bell, Patrick McCaw, Alfonzo McKinney, Festus Ezeli, Anderson Varaejo in the finals at some point in recent years. Not everyone can have a committee style team where everyone is a continual contributor. What you need are a few guys who carry the load. A guy or two who can produce in some other capacity, and the rest role players who don't (or at least try not to be) play as net negatives.

I agree....that's not too shabby at all.

you have got to be shitting me.

you put a list of the 30 best basketball players in the NBA

if you were to say- one of them is sitting out the opener with "personal issues" - Jimmy Butler would be my first, second nad third guess.
