Weird and crazy stat though. Tristan through 10 games just this season has MADE TWICE as many 3 pointers than Ben Simmons has ATTEMPTED in his career.
Not really.

To say Simmons was reluctant to shoot, during his short career, would be a understatement.

But, realizing his take and make rate was better than Bookers yesterday is eye popping.

the Cavs played some really good D but the ball stuck and the Sixers did a really nice job on the offsensive boards

TT mentioned something poignant in the psot game that the Sixers take a lot of 3's and those generate a lot of long rebounds and they have such a big, long team that they get a lot of 2nd chance opportunities and those kind of killed the Cavs.

The Cavs played a good game but the ball was just not moving towards the end. Love said he thought for sure he buried the shot but just missed it.

I mean- it was fun. Def. not the worst thing in the world for the Cavs to take the L there, but its fun to seee them in a real fight vs. a good team.

Thompson is playing the best ball of his career and even made 2 three pointers which is starting to get interesting.
Yeah, the endgame for the Cavs was kind of underwhelming.

Sexton connects for 2 with 5:10 left to put them ahead 95-90.
Sixers go on a 8-2 run from there.

Sexton made another 2 with 3:34 left, and that was it.

As Mecca pointed out, should be able to get more assets by trading Clarkson and maybe TT, so hopefully the future looks bright.

Agree. The bigs played well and I really liked their defense overall last night.

Love didn't shoot well again but got to the line which is always good.

TT played as good as you can play against a big like Embiid.

They shot bad from the perimeter like the 76ers.

Also, WAY too many turnovers in that 4th. But really they were one shot away from winning. Love had a good look and just missed it.

Geez...Tobias was AWFUL in that game. Kept the Cavs in the game.
I like Richardson for them.

Dude is a good Indian.

Philly had one two many Chiefs with Butler on the roster.

As good as Jimmy is, adding Horford and Richardson was the smart play.

Horford is the ultimate insurance policy for Embiid.

It's weird.
It felt like Embiid didn't have much of an impact on the game.

But, then you look at his stats :
35 minutes, 27 points on 20 shots, 3 of 5 from beyond the arc, 16 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, 2 blocks, only 2 turnovers

I think, as homer 76ers fans, we are so focused on wanting him to be healthy and/or in shape that we don't recognize a tremendous effort unless it's 30+ points and/or 20+ boards.
How about Embiid and TT going 5-8 from 3 and everyone else 8-51? Go figure.

I've said this before...

But, Garland will be your guy, long-term.

I think Porter will be his backcourt mate.

Sexton, Clarkson, TT are trade bait.

Maybe not this Season for Sexton.

But, the other 2?

By February, yep.

Many teams could use the kinda production TT is giving.

But, options will be few because of his salary.

Clarkson would be good for the Rockets are Lakers.

Not sure what they have to trade though.

Yeah, it would be interesting to see Clarkson back with the Lakers. But, agree with you, I don't think they have anything to trade that the Cavs would want.

I've said before that I would love TT on the Lakers, but with how Javale and Dwight have been playing, they don't really need another big. But even if they needed one, we're back to not having anything the Cavs would want.

Besides, from what's being said, it sounds like Iggy getting bought out and going to the Lakers is almost a foregone conclusion (which I probably just jinxed lol).

I really think you are underestimating him and would be shocked if Sexton gets moved. Agree there are definitely some teams who could use TT and Clarkson.

I do agree that last play by the Sixers was a great play. Osman should have left Simmons on the perimeter to try to intercept the pass, instead Embiid gets an easy layup. Hell of a play call though
Nance looked like a dear caught in headlights on that Embiid dunk.

Perfect play call

They doubled Tobias, who quite frankly, I would have left all alone.
Though, he did just hit a mid range jumper.
Yeah, it was well designed.

He had a guard on him and Garland was wide open. Blew my mind.

Clarkson had a great game but there were a couple times guys were wide open with the shot clock running down and he threw up a bad shot. You gotta live with those with him though, that's who he is.
No doubt TT panicked...even hoisted that awful shot with 3-4 seconds left.

First time in a long time I was a little upset after a loss. Probably not a bad thing.

He is great at finding his spot on the floor for sure but like I said before...it won't take the Sixers to the next step and he won't take his game to the next step. In the playoffs, the better defensive teams make him less effective. He can get by in the regular season...but not in the playoffs.

11 fga is just not enough for a 23 year old with great talent. Even just attempting jumpshots would make his drive and inside game unstoppable and even more efficient than he already is.

Doesn't look like he is changing anytime soon.

I was pretty upset. Yelling at the tv a couple times. Doesn't happen too often with the Cavs anymore lol

Not sure they'd get anything done, but really seems like the Cs are only team with players/assets they could offer the Cavs might want.....and not sure Cs would part with guys the Cavs would want.

Underestimating who, Sexton?

No.

You misunderstand, or maybe I'm not being clear enough.

Sexton is terrific.

Wanted the Clips to draft him.

But, you aren't winning with that small backcourt.

They aren't going to be Dame and CJ.

I don't see Sexton being a sustained deep ball threat, like those guys.

They are more Monta and early Curry.

In this scenario, Sexton is Monta.

He's a score first, second, maybe pass 3rd, definitely shooting fourth kinda pg.

He's mini John Wall, Westbrook.

Yeah I like Porter's all-around game, just playing like a youngster like expected. Inconsistent shooter, bad fouls but he plays really good, tough defense.

TBH I love Sexton. It would depend what they can get for him in trade bait but his second gear is top 5 in the league and he is a really good shooter. The verdict is still out, we will see.

Agree on Clarkson and TT.

Really like Clarkson as a bench player but he is a guy they need to trade without a doubt and I would think they should get a 1st for him. He would boost any playoff bench easily.
TT his value is so high right now, I think if they could get something nice out of that deal, which a year or two ago wasn't an option.

I understood, just don't agree. I think Sexton is better than you think he is. But I hope you are right that Garland is better than sexton as it would be a nice "problem" to have.

Really no reason to think he cannot sustain his 3 point shooting as the guy is an extremely hard worker.

And unless he wants out, the Cavs may not want to move TT anyway. Isn't his contract up after this season?

They may be able to bring him back on a smaller contract. He seems like he's a good guy to have around the youngsters and he's playing well.

Not like he's old either. So, if the rebuild keeps going well, he could still be a contributor if/when the Cavs are a playoff team again.
