This.

Chase Young is already a playmaker on defense.

Like I said...people that were trying to downplay him were nuts. OSU fans had the privilege of watching both Bosa's on the DL for like 6 years prior. He's better than both. By a fair margin.

I know Haksins isn't Rivera's guy. Is the current GM responsible for the pick? And what kinda timetable is Rivera gonna give him, will this year be enough to see if he's the future or not?

They don’t really have a GM.

Problem is, Haskins was Snyder’s guy. So I think Rivera is going to be stuck

I think he can be average. But I don't see him as a pro bowler or anything.

He can be a placeholder

If average is compared to the other starting QBs in the league?

No.

He really can’t.

Absolute ceiling is in the Trubisky/Trent Dilfer range.

Dilfer won a super bowl

Yes he did.

With an all time great defense, an elite running game and conservative play calling.

Kind of the point.

Also, I said that is Haskins ceiling in terms of level of play. As in the best possible outcome.

I don’t think he reaches it.

I was mostly being fecitious about Dilfer lol

I'd like you to be wrong on Haskins but I do tend to think he will be pretty run of the mill. Fields has more upside imo.

I mean, he could...but I agree he wont be anything special. Of course, not really going on a limb as most QBs picked where he was do not amount to much. If he does, good for him.

Not to say he'd be better than he is, but I do wonder where he'd have been picked if had he had 2-3 years in Day's offense.

A Bosa or Young for 8 years. and hearing Harrison could be on their level.

He fell to 14 because a lot of scouts didn’t like him. He was drafted at 14 because Daniel Snyder did.

And any QB drafted in the 1st round is taken there because the team believes they will be a franchise QB eventually Teams don’t typically like wasting 1st round picks.

And he might have been higher with more time in that offense. Still wouldn’t change my perception of him and his ability.

well of course they liked their guy if they took him in round 1, but QBs taken teens or later have a better chance not to be franchise guy than to be one.

We gotta admit, this has been the best playoffs in a long long time. Makes you think maybe they should think of mutual site playoffs in the future
