so that’s all they are doing is saying what they want? Do you have to actually write any checks?

Honestly I don't really understand what you're asking me here.

you are blind to the fact that by walking out they cost the people that pay their families way a lot of money.

yup that is all they did is say things, got it.

They got fed up and boycotted some games and got together and discussed how to move forward. Looks like moving forward involves playing the games and continuing to speak out and urge change. Once out of the bubble I have no doubt many players will continue to advocate for dialogue and change. They aren't politicians or police, those are the people that have to DO something. These guys can help by bringing attention to it, and participating in discussions about it.

Do you see it differently?

The billionaires didn't actually lose anything, as they are playing the games. And it's not "a lot of money" even if they completely bailed on the playoffs. Which they didn't, so it's zero money.

If they aren’t willing to use their clout to go into these neighborhoods and try to help with the people they are helping to rile up then yes I see it differently. You can’t just call for change, not when in most of these situations policemen are being put in bad situations and having to make life and death decisions in a moments notice. You can’t just say ok only the police have to always act perfectly, I have zero respect for that.

maybe the fact that I haven’t seen it. I hope it happens, it seems so simple. Recruit some great black and white cops and get people talking. You can’t just give it lip service though. People can’t be afraid to speak up to help weed out the bad eggs and that means everyone.

This thing is happening in real time. You will see it, if you don't purposefully choose not to look. It's already happening by the way, there's been many dialogues between police and communities, many sponsored by sports teams.

Drop the cynicism, be open to this being a problem that needs solving and that people genuinely want to make it better.

LOL it's not class warfare knucklehead. Precisely $0.00 was lost by anyone.

not true, it’s more days in the bubble. Very expensive. Sure they have the money, but that is irrelevant.

As far as I know, the last possible day of the season is still October 15 just as it was 2 months ago

ah ok, just don’t see how you miss 2 days and it doesn’t add time but ok.

If they bailed on the playoffs it would be a lot of money. They'd have to give back the tv rights from most of the playoffs.

We'll see. I'm just stating the facts and fact is the NBA said nothing about the season extending and considering the draft is on October 16, I'm sure they would have said something/change the draft date
