He makes some good points.
One thing though. He said have them come back and play 10 games. Imo, that would be a reason to bring back all 30 teams.
In the Western Conference, the #8 and #9 teams are separated by 3.5 games. In the East it's 5.5 games. It wouldn't be easy (especially in the East), but those differences can be overcome in 10 games.
I've also heard that 5 regular season games might be played. If that ends up being the case, then they should just bring back the playoff teams.
OkLol you're hilarious. Im supposed to let someone post inaccurate information and make others who don't pay close attention to the numbers think it is true
And I'm fn telling you that you didn't hear correctly. Or, if you did, he is speaking as a group of 1 and just doesn't know what he's talking about. The idea the owners would not have wanted this arrangement in the past or future is absurd.I’m fn telling you what I heard. It took me by surprise too.
No doubt if we ever see a cap there will also be a floor.Your latter point is what I'm getting to
Make a minimum amount a team has to spend. Baseball is screwed up with its deals.
Honestly, I agree with those who say the cloth masks don't help all that much.....but I'm not among the anti mask loons. If it makes people happy that someone wear one for 15-30 minutes then I don't get why so many think they need to "stick it to the man" by not wearing one.I'm going to continue wearing a mask in public. I think the people that refuse to wear a mask in public are goofy. Plus according to the county right now you're required to wear a mask in public. But I see people all the time not wearing one. Grocery stores, walmarts, home depots. Even though it's required some around here still don't give a fuck. What's that about?
The grocery stores around here all employees wear masks & gloves. Not sure about the walmarts. Can't remember the last time I was in that store.
Tomorrow new guidelines for restaurants & other places to reopen will be told to the public.
well outdoors and properly distanced there is almost zero risk in some places. Meaning, places that don't really have surfaces to tough. You need to stop with the zero risk.
Do these people look properly distanced?
The challenge now to me is if you wait until mid to late July to do playoffs only that's a pretty massive advantage in game experience for playoff teams over non playoff teams. Talk about rust come December.... Man

The thing is, the people out there as we start to open up are the low risk people. The high risk people by now are making sure they are staying safe. If any of the people you see in those pictures knows high risk people, they are surely not going near them.
There's not much point in going back and forth. Our positions are clear, you are more worried about the risks than I am. I see the virus declining, and IMO it will continue to. People need to be smart, and some idiots will not be. Even with the idiots, the virus will continue to decline IMO.
FWIW, only 619 deaths today, lowest since late March.
Not a fan of a late July start
I thought this was hilarious no matter what anyone thinks about our risk....
It seems rather late to me
What are we waiting for exactly I wonder

My only thought is they want to give the players a month of games to get ready for the playoffs
There is no legitimate reason to bring back all 30 teams.
Do you think the Pistons and Wizards are going to take safety precautions that the Bucks and Lakers would?
The more people that are brought into the bubble, the higher the risk. These teams don’t need to be brought into the fold.
