I think i've read thats not happening.

So basically the Dodgers will get screwed with the Mookie Betts trade if there's no reason as he is a FA after the year.

Didn't they just come out with a list with several teams honoring contracts for part of the season? This seems very tricky when it comes legally if owners have to pay the players.

I think its still a fluid situation on a lot of things but I dont think contract years are rolling over from what I've read but I think that was also under the assumption some sort of season would be played, which is far from guaranteed

There should at a minimum be a shortened season played. Probably something like 80 games but make the World Series happen in September because the virus will die off in the summer but come back during the normal flu season. Obviously that is taking into account the virus isn’t some super virus then it is pointless to cancel anything because the whole world is screwed.

MLB new about the cheating in 2017 and 2018 but didn't do anything about it until Fiers spoke out. They may have taken away the banging in 2019, but to me that opens up the possibility of the wireless buzzers said to be on at least Altuve and Bregman. Cheaters find ways to cheat.
