I’ll give it up for Gee. He wins a draw and wins a puck battle down low to start that cycle that led to the Myers goal. It’s little stuff like that you need from the captain.

Hey Man Nice Shot!
Boy they needed that. Not sure how Coots missed before that he had another open net but who cares I'll take it!

Funny but Myers hit the post earlier and would have ended it.

Yes if you aren't scoring you better be doing the little things which he did today. He'll get it going.

That was more difficult than it had to be, but man is that a big win. Need to gather some momentum from that and carry it into tomorrow.

I say our defensemen need to get more involved in the offense. Guys like Myers, Provorov, Sanheim and even Niskanen can drive our offense a lot more than they have to date. I think we're reluctant to do this so far because we're afraid that the Islanders will counter us and go the other way. Plus, these are young guys we would be relying on to make the right decision on when to pinch or get up on the rush.

I just think we have tons of untapped skill and potential especially amongst guys like Sanheim and Myers. These kids are damn good.

Yep. Most active he’s been in the bubble. Got to the net on the game winner too. And drove the net hard for Hayes’ first. Games are won at the net. Gotta get there.

Agreed it seems that is their main strategy to score goals so tough for dmen to push up too much. Its too bad as they usually do well when they do.

Yes, when Provorov, Myers or Sanheim take that puck and streak into the offensive zone full speed, I always feel like something good is about to happen for us. They often look more dangerous than a lot of our forwards.

Laughton deserved to sit but I was still surprised that AV did it. JVR wasn't bad had a beautiful pass on Myers post shot. Came back defensively a few times as well. Not sure if they'll change anything for tomorrow unless they want fresh legs I wouldn't be opposed to getting Laughton back in.

I’m still fucking catatonic. Man, that’s playoff hockey. I’m screaming over a blown lead and a failed review that results in a late PP with all momentum to them. And then complete euphoria on a seemingly harmless blast from outside. Love it but my fucking nerves right now.

I think our constructive criticism helped as Couts was a lot better today. Laughton benched...we weren't off there.

No shit it was not looking good after they tied it. Kept saying they need one more...at least it eventually came.

You have to admit that killing off the power play to finish the 3rd when they had every ounce of momentum and then storming out in OT to finish it early was very clutch by our team.

The Isles put everything into that comeback. I think Barzal was on the ice for half of the 3rd period. Maybe losing this one takes something out of them for tomorrow.

Yes they were definitely resilient most teams would have folded in that one. The piles may be deflated next game especially since its in little over 24 hours.

Ok, I'm gonna go on record and say that driving while watching the game on your dish app, is def as dangerous as drunk driving.

My nerves are shot after watching the game. That was a huge win. Losing this game would have been devastating for our guys imo. My question now is do you give Hart the rest tomorrow and start Elliott?

IMO Elliot is going to have to get a game in this series. I think it makes more sense to get him in at 1-1, rather than later in the series. Plus Hart gave up 4 on 32 shots in his 3rd game in 4 nights in the Habs series.

So I go with Elliot.

Lol Tox, you actually did go to troll them. Do you realize they have 56 posts since this site was created? That's less than 6 posts per year...

We have almost 83,000 here.

Lol Of course, but I figured it couldn't hurt to see who might come out of the woodwork for a little verbal fisticuffs. :D
