I was surprised no changes. I would think Hagg plays today.

Ghost has played in 5 playoff games and we have been shut out in 2 of those 5. Not sure hes the offensive juggernaut we are looking for to stop us from being shut out.

Fact is he gives them better opportunities to score than Hagg and I have nothing against Hagg it's just not one of his strengths. Now if you could morph the two players into one then you'd have something but right now any offense is a good thing.

This is why we don't all commit suicide after game one. So happy for Hayes and Couturier. Our best defensive forward (nominated for the Selke) makes Leddy look like a scrub in the offensive zone and quietly deposits the puck past Varlamov to chase him (after he just set the Isles' playoff shutout streak record).

He is already a big reason that Hayes was able to score the first goal by driving hard to the net and making himself a second option that the goalie had to worry about.

The difference is our quicker transition from defense to offense, being harder on the puck and therefore winning more puck battles, and just not being scared to put our skill on display and make a play.

Well, our compete level wasn't close enough to theirs in the 3rd and we've blown this lead. It should be interesting moving forward, but this game should be over. It's pretty fucking unfortunate.

Game by game, we learn lessons the hard way. You can't ever take your foot off the gas pedal.
