I'm trying but also have about 6 home projects I'm trying to get done.We need 10K post for a cup so get in on this.
The team is playing with a lot of discipline.
against Washington they changed up the power play set up mid game to adjust to what Washington was giving them. This is good coaching.
What’s Ghost doing these days ?
No fucking way to take anyone out of the line up at this point the way they are playing. You are out of your mind. Like Farabee, Ghost will get his opportunity in the event someone goes down.Bold prediction; I think he plays on Saturday. I bet one of the dmen could use a rest. Ghost could use some game time to try to knock of a little rust. The Sabres suck. The Flyers are 12 points clear of the playoff line. Now seems like a pretty good time to get Ghost a game. Even though you want to keep putting pressure on the Caps and try to keep the streak going and secure home ice for 2 rounds.

Not sure it makes a difference right now. I was crying about changing and adding people but the system now seems to be working to the point it doesn't matter.Just a hunch! We'll see.
It doesnt matter because we have lost the right people and filled that spot in with the right people. Not sure it makes a difference right now. I was crying about changing and adding people but the system now seems to be working to the point it doesn't matter.
Would be a good move as they'll most likely need him at some point best to get him going. He should also be on PP2 as that's always going to be his biggest contribution. Get him some confidence back we know he can be decent.Bold prediction; I think he plays on Saturday. I bet one of the dmen could use a rest. Cannot disagree more. The next month or so is about securing the Metro and continuing the strong play of the last couple weeks to ride in to the playoffs playing at a high level and with confidence. Ghost was not a great fit in the system prior to his injury. Maybe he gets in line and stops free lancing now, maybe not. Who do you sit? Getting him a couple games just for funsies could be the difference from winning the Metro and being a wild card team. Despite recent upward swings, this team is on another level at home as opposed to the road (not to mention Hart)That's my thinking as well. As weird as it is considering where we were 2 weeks ago, they're comfortably in the playoffs at this point. The next month or so will be about maximizing their lineup for the playoffs. Obviously you want to win the Metro and get home ice, that could be huge. So I'm not advocating throwing everything in a blender just for fun. But Ghost is a talented player, I think there's benefit to him getting some games in down the stretch, even if it may hurt the team a little bit on that night. And it's not even a guarantee he hurts them, maybe he comes in on fire and forces AV to make a hard decision about who makes the Flyers the best on any given night.
Yeah who needs to continue streaking at a NHL best pace. Who needs to finish first. Finishing first is so yesterdays news.Cannot disagree more. WHEN A TEAM IS ON AN 8 GAME WIN STREAK AND SCORING OVER 4 GOALS A GAME YOU DO NOT TOUCH THE LINE UP UNLESS INJURY FORCES YOUR HAND.
He is pro. If his number is called this season (regular or playoffs) he will be inserted and ready to go.
I'll be at the game again Saturday. I hope I don't see Ghost out there when the puck is dropped.

It would be good hockey sense to stay with whats working and not upset the apple cart. So i also couldn't disagree more with putting Ghost in the lineup tomorrow.Where did I say I didn't want to finish first? Please quote that and send it to me.
Feel free to delete out the portion where I said "Obviously you want to win the Metro and get home ice, that could be huge". I don't care about facts anyway.

Not while we are on an 8 game winning streak and 1st place is within our grasp. We have like 15 games left to let it shake out and grab a strangle hold on 1st. After we do that if Ghost needs to get in a game or two we have Detroit and NJ in late March. It's not a hill I'm willing to die on, but I do think it's a good idea to think about down the stretch here where there are games that make sense to do it. The Sabres game is one where I would say it makes sense. In reality, they should win that game easy. The 6th dman should make little to no difference. Gives a guy a rest, gives Ghost a game to shake off some rust. Little risk of losing the game or upsetting the apple cart.
It's not like I'm advocating for playing Vorobyev instead of Couturier and sitting Provorov/Niskanen. We're talking about the 6th dman. For one game.
I don't think it's crazy. I mean shit, we spent half the day arguing over Farabee/JvR and the Flyers opted to put Thompson in the lineup the past week or so. I think any reasonable fan would agree that the Flyers would be best with a healthy Farabee and JvR in the lineup, and Thompson on the bench. But clearly the Flyers are thinking long term and trying to get Thompson some time to see what he has, and also to get him used to the Flyers system. So they don't have to get him in blind if/when someone got hurt. I'm just extrapolating that logic and applying it to Ghost.
And we have never looked better than we have all season then we have looked the last two games. Just sayin.Keep in mind the first 3 games of this win streak had JvR, Bunnaman, and Farabee in the lineup. They traded for and added Thompson and Grant to the lineup, takin Farabee and Bunnaman out. Then JvR got hurt and Farabee came in for him. And both goalies have played. Even Friedman got in the lineup during this streak. So it's not like they've won 8 games with the exact same lineup.
They've won 8 games because they're good. And they're deep. And they're playing really well. It's not just a magical lineup that's got them on a role. They're a really good, really deep hockey team.
Having Ghost confident and ready to play IMO outweighs any risk of losing momentum. It's not like they haven't used other players during this streak. They can wait until necessary or as Awaz said do it against a weak opponent. Resting the odd player without missing a beat is another way to get everyone ready and keep guys fresh. I think Ghost really could use the boost and I hope he takes full advantage if it happens. It's not a hill I'm willing to die on, but I do think it's a good idea to think about down the stretch here where there are games that make sense to do it. Then let Ghost get his boost against Detroit and NJ in late march when we may have the division locked up.Having Ghost confident and ready to play IMO outweighs any risk of losing momentum.
