Gotta go back to Hart tonight. Can't let him build up low confidence, work your way out of it kid even if we have to beat a team 5-4 to do it.
Agreed the team needs to give him confidence so he has the chance to earn it. Last thing they need is Elliott injuring himself from too much action either.

Fucking Pens skating wide open in our slot the entire game. Truly embarrassing. No blame to the goalies. All of it goes to the non-existent defense.

Wow maybe this Chris P Bacon guy knows what the fuck he's talking about when he says our defense is soft and sucks!

So unfortunately this Defense has hit their ceiling and we don't have much depth in our farm system, so how does this defense get better? I see this being another long season of what could be at times. You have to have a way better defense to contend with playoff caliber teams and we're lacking. Not sure how this gets fixed.

He may have sprained his neck watching all those pucks go by.
Yep I can't even blame him there was zero D. Truly embarrassing effort from everyone. Therien was absolutely dead on how can you not be up for the penqueens especially after losing to the Islanders. Malkin out and they have a bunch of no names producing meanwhile Flyers first round picks can't stand up. Sanheim was playing ok and looked like he should be in the echl. Rant over I'll let Las trade them all I give up...

The frustration about trading certain players continues because a lot of those players will just never get it that it's team sacrifice first. AV doesn't seem to be able to get that across either.

Caught this screen image - 3rd Period at 9:04. He had this look for as long as the camera was on him.

The softness wasn't a factor, actually thought they were decently physical last night. They just looked totally mesmerized by the puck. And it wasn't just the dmen, the forwards were atrocious too. The Pens had not just 1, but 2 open guys every time they were in the offensive zone. How does that happen?

I don't think we can say the bold with absolute certainty. Maybe some of them have, maybe some of them haven't. Braun and Niskanen certainly 'are what they are'.

Hagg is 24, 163gp
Ghost is 26, 309gp
Provorov is 22, 257gp
Sanheim is 23, 142gp

The more I watch Ghost this season, the more it seems like 17-18 was an outlier and what he really is, is a 35-45 point PP QB that struggles in the defensive zone. I wouldn't really classify him as young anymore either. He's 26 and has 309 games of experience, of which the mediocre out number the great.

Hagg, I just don't think he has a super high ceiling. Maybe he gets a little better than he is now, but I don't see him as a top 4 option.

Provorov is still very young at 22 and he's still played more great games than mediocre ones. I'm not giving up on his potential to be a top pair guy.

Sanheim is also still young and has relatively little experience. Again, more great games than mediocre ones. At least IMO.

Myers is still down on the farm and he could bring some potential, only 21gp and just 22 years old.

What I think last night showed is that their d-zone coverage scheme is very much a work in progress. They've been able to pin teams in the Flyers offensive zone with a good forecheck and neutral zone forecheck. That's hidden the 'work in progress-ness' in the defensive end. The Pens were able to break the forecheck and spend time in the Flyers defensive zone where things were a mess.
