Says a lot that you're already creaming your pants while simultaneously having a teenage tit fit right now because no one's taking the Suns seriously in the preseason. Congrats on beating the Warriors in the preseason. I'm sure they were giving their all in that preseason game against the Suns in mid-October. Truly riveting shit.

Late response... but I check this place weekly now and just saw this.

Was the firing strange or unexpected? No. Was the timing of it strange or unexpected? YES. 9 days until the season starts, you kidding me?!

Sarver wanted a star caliber player this offseason, McDonough failed to deliver and also didn't address the PG situation, so there's speculation that they had a disagreement on a particular move that might've been made. I think overall it was a long time coming, but just very odd timing. James Jones being hired by Sarver in a position they created to fit him in as an "apprentice" to McDonough seemed like the writing on the wall a year and a half ago. It isn't official, but I think James Jones will be named GM and this offseason was just a learning course for him, which is a shit thing to do to McD... but he's had his chance and he failed. I could see him becoming Hinkie 2.0. Collected Ayton, Booker, Jackson, Bridges, good cap space and draft picks... but won't get to see his vision all the way through.
