Ball, Kuzma, Deng's corpse so salaries match, and a future 1st rounder
Love Dame...but I hate including Kuzma.
Probably have to do it though.
Better him than Ingram.

Going To Jeff's Place this weekend...Got my 2nd camshaft sensor replaced on my Merc in the last 3 weeks. Let''s hope that fixes it.
Yea maybe so, but unfortunately for him he signed a contract that apparently doesn't allow him to "sit out" if he is upset with the FO, his coach or his teammates. Not when you don't trust the team you play for and the relationship is irreparably broken it isn't.
The Spurs have done this to themselves.
I believe that there was a point where he was healthy enough and under normal circumstances, he would have returned. However, the Spurs had already thrown him under the bus and he was already done with them by the time he reached that point.

Is it really worth ruining your rep within the league & possibly affecting your future deals? I just find it hard to believe that a franchise doctor would risk the overall health of a player they planned a future with. It's even harder to believe that franchise would be SA.
They get a PG and SF/PF.....Deng's corpse is just to make salaries match but he might actually play some for them. That's a pretty nice deal for Portland if true...they might want to pull the trigger on that one there.
IT says hi & hold my beer.I think both sides have damaged their reputations.
I don't find it hard to believe that a franchise doctor would risk the overall health of a player at all.
The team doctor works for the team. It's in the best interests of the team to get him back on the court asap.
His own doctors are the one's that are going to be most concerned about his overall health.
There were 2 sets of doctors operating at cross purposes. That's why I think he likely could have returned at some point (remember the speculation that he would play in the playoffs?).
But by that time, the relationship was already broken because of the Spurs shitting on him publicly.
What you're saying all makes sense. But I just don't believe that a franchise would risk his health knowing they are planning/hoping to keep him long into the future. Why would they ruin their own investment?I think both sides have damaged their reputations.

Of course - I don't know that any team would be itching to trade for deng lolThey get a PG and SF/PF.....Deng's corpse is just to make salaries match but he might actually play some for them.

Shamet was a 1st rd pick.
Shake was a 2nd rd pick.
tahts what i was going to say
expiring contracts mean nothing unless you want to take on salry and it sure seems like they want to preserve their salary cap space
though- if its not Kawhi - which it may be- who is it?
i highly doubt its irving or butler. maybe klay if he leaves?
IT says hi & hold my beer.
His career may never be the same.
