Holy crap. Anyone hear anything about this? I have First Things First on & they're talking about how the Lakers think Lonzo's camp made up the knee injury to keep him outta trade talks.

yeah they said something about it on ESPN as well.

Wouldn't surprise me considering who his Father is

It has been nice that that blabbermouth Papa Ball hasn't been a media whore lately. Or maybe he is & I'm just ignoring his bullshit.

I said it days ago when the story on Ball's meniscus tear came out.

I must have missed that comment of yours. If there's any truth to this it sure makes Lonzo look bad.

Warriors holding out Jordan Bell and Damian Jones today for rest. These superstars have earned it.

Jordan Bell with the Draymond Green-esq line last game

8 points
7 assists
6 rebounds
4 blocks
2 steals

Don't know what stat line Cash Considerations put up for the Bulls though...

I think the Ball family has hit the low bar. Lonzo's going to need to have a tremendous year, otherwise he's out by the trade deadline. Just imagine the shit Lavar's gonna say when Rondo takes his starting spot.

i think people will look at Fultz and Ball going over Tatum for a long long long long long time and remember how dumb the Sixers and Lakers were.

Not as bad as Darko but close.

Yeah, two players in their first year who played a combined 66 games couldn't possibly improve.

Remember when you said Ingram was a complete bust too?

It is only been 1 year. Not ready to rush to judgement on either

I like Magic's approach. The reason I disagree with you here is because he will be FREE next year to sign out right - without having to give up assets.

PG was supposed to be FREE this year. Granted, Kawhi seems to be more adamant about going to the Lakers than PG ever was...but it's not like there aren't rumors that he wouldn't play for the Clippers.

If just being in LA si more important to him than playing for the Lakers, the Lakers lose some of their "wait until next season" leverage.

As we saw with PG, things can change. What if Philly says "Fuck it, we'll take a shot" and includes Fultz in the trade like the Spurs reportedly want, they win a title or close to it and Kawhi decides LA isn't the be all end all?

Couple that with his unknown health. Think about this: he's been out basically a year with a thigh injury. Should that really have taken this long to heal? My guess is there's something else going on.

I'm not too worried about the injury. I'm sure the Lakers would have their doctors thoroughly check him out.

Also, he was the one player people thought was the most mild mannered and would NEVER demand a trade.

And the Spurs are the one organization that people thought would never have 2 of their stars and their legendary coach speak out publicly against him...yet, that happened too.

After this circus how do you know he won't do the same thing in LA - especially if what we heard about him not wanting to play on a superteam is true?

I don't know that the rumors are true. There are also those who think that the Sixers and Celtics rumors are being fed by San Antonio and played up as greater than it is to try to get the Lakers to panic and agree to what the Spurs are asking for.

Yea, I've heard the same thing. But how come he's the only one with a thigh injury that won't heal? There have been plenty of other guys with a very similar injury & have made it back. This is interesting to me & can't wait til someone gets to the bottom of it. Until they do I agree that teams should be hesitant to give up good assets to get him.

I think a lot of his not returning was the uncle that is apparently acting as his agent.

The Spurs handled the injury very poorly in a few ways and they lost his trust. Because of that, I think his uncle convinced him to just sit out the year.

Sitting out the better part of a year is pretty calculated and cold blooded... takes a lot of (ill) will...

... not saying San Antonio handled his situation well...

... but I am saying that I don't want my team to give up the goods for a guy like that... God forbid he feels 'disrespected'...
