I guess he just doesn’t look like the typical Oregon type RB to me. I thought I saw somewhere he ran like a 4.85 40 as well.

Idk...

Lol, he does not run a 4.8 forty he's easily the fastest back in the room right now.

Well I guess coming out of high school that’s what he was clocked at that.

Must have gained some speed since then.

First of all, that's ESPN, second of all, that 40 time was taken his sophomore year in high school I believe.

I watched Bell's Arizona CC films. Once he was away from anyone, he just kept making the distance greater.

I think Bell runs a 4.45.

Could be, though I doubt they would clock him as a 16 year old and then use that data for recruiting when he graduates high school 2 years later.

It was probably just a typo or something. Anyways, I hope he’s really good and really fast. I was just saying the video I watched didn’t look like a fast back. He looked fairly quick, not fast. Could have just been the speed of the film too because everyone else in the film looked slower than molasses.

I want the kid to be a stud back, I truly do!

Just found this one now.

Guessing ESPN’s is a typo. I like this one more gooder than that one.

It doesn't really matter what his time is.

ESPN does that all the time and 247sports did it with Adrian Martinez. Martinez is listed as running a 4.8 on his 247 profile because he did it at a camp his sophomore year. Hasn't run the forty at a camp since she they just keep it on there. He's clearly faster than a 4.8 now. Going to guess Bell's situation is similar with ESPN.

I’m still not convinced, I know how to deal with a forty

I mean don't get me wrong I do appreciate a good/great 40 time. But the amount of speed needed to make a huge difference is not going to be there no-matter who the RB is. I've seen DL run sub 4.6 40s... Now if the RB or whoever is running legit 4.3s or below then yeah I can see where it might make a difference in the open field. but when DL and LBers are running just as fast as the RB. I cant see how it would be a huge difference maker. So what I am trying to say is I would rather have a Ameer or Rex then a guy who has speed but no wiggle. cuz I loves to watch me some wiggle.

If they have same/similar speed then it makes a big difference when the RB has a step on the defender.

Nebraska has lacked the big play threat. I'm tired of our skill positions being run down from behind. The 90's teams were big play teams. By big plays I mean 30 yds or more. Big plays can flip a scoreboard right now and give momentum.

I love thee wiggle too. Always wished Ameer had breakaway speed after he juked a guy out of his shoes.

If you think back to Oregon and then think about UCF this year, their offense always thrived on straight speed out of the back field.

If Bell really is that fast, he is going to be perfect for this Offense.

LaMichael James comes to mind.

He rarely juked. Ran with a VERY similar style as Bell does. Also was clocked at 4.5.

That’s why I’m saying, if Bell really is that fast.....man this could be really good.
