Nebraska currently sits at 15 commits for the 2020 cycle and with 15 days until signing day they are looking to add as many as possible before then. Looks like Nebraska is taking about 10 more prospects in this class, so there's definitely room for the class to grow. I've ranked the following in order of perceived desire by Nebraska's staff, not by rating...

So who do we want? Take a gander...

1. Kaden Johnson (4-Star, OLB) [Minneapolis, MN] - Johnson has long been a Nebraska target and it seems the long game paid off. It looked early on as if Wisconsin and Minnesota had the inside track, but, despite both having stellar seasons it seems that Nebraska is leading for the elite OLB prospect out of MN.

2. Omar Manning (4-Star, WR) JUCO [Lanaster, TX] - If Johnson is the #1 defensive player on the board, Manning is the #1 offensive player on the board. Nebraska has seemingly led for this one for a long time. Oregon is the other want to watch out for. At 6'4" 225 lbs Nebraska doesn't have another WR with his size, speed and athleticism on the roster.

3. Julius Coates (3-Star, DE) JUCO [Rockford, IL] - The JUCO product out of Illinois is a current Colorado commit but has had a wandering eye for the past few months. Nebraska and Oregon swooped in and seem to be battling for the commit. He's 6'6" (maybe 6'7") and 270 lbs and would provide immediate depth on the edge.

4. Darion Green-Warren (4-Star, DB) [Harbor City, CA] - Green-Warren has been at the top of Nebraska's DB board for some time. He wanted to visit for the OSU game and his flight got cancelled so he ended up visiting for the Wisconsin game. USC is probably the team to beat but the uncertainty surrounding Clay Helton has left the door open for others and playing in the B1G is intriguing to Warren. Penn State and Michigan are involved as well.

5. Marcus Fleming (4-Star, WR) [Miami, FL] - Fleming is one of the fastest players in Florida so don't let his diminutive frame dissuade you. Though he stands only at 5'9" and 160 lbs he makes up for it with his speed. Nebraska, Georgia and Maryland are the top three for him with FSU and Florida on outside looking in. Georgia is a big threat but their offensive style doesn't fit his skill set as well as Maryland and Nebraska. Fleming plans to sign in December but announce in January.

6. Jaden Francois (4-Star, DB) [Homestead, FL] - Another one time Miami commit, Francois is narrowing down his list to two schools... one being Miamik and the other being either Nerbaska or Indiana. This one is hard to read but Nebraska felt good enough to send coaches down early on for the young man.

7. Alante Brown (4-Star, WR) [Chicago, IL] - Brown is an interesting story. He was a 4-star committed to Texas Tech according to 247Sports in the 2019 class but he didn't make grades and went the prep route for the 2020 class. Which basically reclassifies him as a 2020 HS recruit. His production stayed the same and now he's a 4-Star at the Prep school. He's used 4 of his 5 OVs already (Indiana, Va Tech, MSU and Maryland) but it looks like Nebraska will get the final look next week.

8. Justin Robinson (4-Star, WR) [Mcdonough, GA] - Robinson has been a intriguing watch. He's only visited Nebraska and Georgia and for a while Nebraska has felt good about the possibility of flipping the WR prospect. Georgia has winning but Nebraska has more opportunity. There's not another body in the class at WR for Nebraska like the 6'4" 200 lb WR out of Georgia. If Nebraska can steal this one it won't be because Georgia let him go.

9. Jamari Butler (3-Star, OLB) [Mobile, AL] - Current Tennessee commit is slated to visit Nebraska this weekend. Nebraska would like two more OLBs in this class with Kadon Johnson being one of them. Butler could make the most sense to be the other if his visit goes well and Nebraska can flip him from Tennessee.

10. Keyshawn Greene (4-Star, OLB) [Crawfordville, FL] - A current FSU commit Green has been hearing plenty from Nebraska following the FSU firing of Willie Taggert. A lot could land on who the Seminoles bring in as their new HC but in the mean time Miami and Nebraska have swooped in. IF Nebraska gets a visit it's going to have to be a midweek visit though.

Other Names to know: Eteva Mauga (NYR, JUCO LB), Kendall Dennis (4-Star, DB), Bryan Robinson (4-Star, WR), Tuli Tuipulotu (3-Star, DE), Nusi Malani (3-Star, DE), DeShawn Lynch (3-Star, DE), Devyn Curtis (3-Star, LB), Brian George (4-Star, JUCO DB)

was told that because they moved Piper AND Banks to OL that they are fine with take just Corcoran and Conn this class unless someone else worth while just drops in their laps. Currently at 17 scholarship OL for 2020 with 6 of them being RS-FR... that's pretty good.

They also really like where they are at with 2021 OL recruits. I could see them taking 5 OL in th 2021 class.

They COULD take another nose tackle, but I think they likely look at the transfer market for someone if that's the case. that said, there are a few DEs on there.

Update here....

Coates has gone quiet... I thought Nebraska was a shoe-in here, not I'm wondering if they want him to hold off until someone else might have a shot at committing.

Kaden Johnson is still trending Nebraska's way
Omar Manning will be one to watch, he's not signing till February now and TCU has gotten involved
Green-Warren has eliminated Penn State, so Nebraska, Michigan and USC are the top three... If I were to guess I would guess it's between Nebraska and Michigan right now.
Fleming has gone radio silent... down to Nebraska, FSU or Miami... Crystal Ball favors Nerbaska
Francios is down to Miami and Nebraska... Nebraska in good position here
Alante Brown is visiting this week, actually... right now... Nebraska in a decent spot with Va Tech and Maryland looming
Justin Robinson is likely sticking with his UGA commitment
Jamari Butler de-committed from Tennessee... Nebraska trending here
Greene is visiting this weekend according to the Herald... would be a huge coup... FSU and Miami are the others in on him

The other names to know:
Mauga committed today to Nebraska
Kendall Dennis is down to Oklahoma and Nebraska it seems
Bryan Robinson has eliminated Nebraska
Tuli is a feb signee same with Malani... so there's time in that recruitment still
Lynch is headed to JUCO
Curtis and George are likely not possibilities anymore

All these players can sing?

I drank too much koolaid last year. I am not getting excited over JUCOS.

Now, Keyshawn Greene, that would be exciting.

according to ESPN he runs a 4.49 40 yard dash. He is ranked 37th(all football recruits) in the state of Florida by ESPN.

Football Recruiting - Keyshawn Greene - Player Profiles - ESPN

Track times as a junior, ran the 100 yds in 11.88

TFRRS Florida | Keyshawn Greene - Track and Field Results & Statistics

Nebraska can take 9-10 more signees for this class

Nice list you put out Mr. Nut.

Once again, I have proven my non-prowess in prognosticating recruiting. Which was like my non-prowess in prognosticating Nebraska football for 2019.
