Okay... soo Woodyard should be announcing within the next five minutes now for sure... Signing Bell should go a long way, would be a lot of speed in this class if he commits. Top 3 in the whole roster right away could have Bell and Woodyard in it day one of fall camp.

not sure what's going on, perhaps he meant 4:00 central time even though he's on the east coast... will keep watching.

Woodyard is officially in, an interesting thing, he committed to Nerbaska then held an announcement to commit to Nebraska via periscope. He also had a Tennessee hat on the table and Nebraska beanie which was interesting as well. He put the beanie on and he's N... there you have it.

McGriff will sign Friday... not sure on Honas, looks like he's going to take his chances and visit Wisconsin.

Definitely upgrayyed on offensive skill guys, SF looks to build our lines from local fed boys like Wisconsin does, and I agree with that for the most part

I know it’s cool and all and good advertising but I’m ready for UCF’s bowl to be over and Frost be here physically and mentally full time

Recruiting is dead from now until mid January anyway, save for sec coaches, I can agree there’s much more to be done in Lincoln than just that but it’s not going to make or break next years results. If UCF goes out and beats auburn that’ll be huge out on the trail come Feb, more so than Gates cleaning the shitters until spring camp, or longer

Yea, was listening to USC on the way home. I think we do need to do a better job of development, but ultimately we need to compete on the recruiting front with teams like Ohio and Alabama. U can do it like Wiscy/Mich St/Iowa, but in the end you'll have results like them, a good season once in awhile (which right now I know we would all take), but ultimately u need to mix strong development with enough 4/5 star guys to sustain and keep up long term.

this guy freakin knows football. its like christmas day for me

On junior college commits…

“Well, we don’t know the roster real well in Lincoln yet, we’re getting to know it, you know we’ve talked to a lot of people, and numbers-wise there’s some big holes. There’s a couple of positions where the number of scholarship players that we would normally want to carry, the University of Nebraska is way down on those numbers, receiver, defensive back are two of the most glaring ones. There’s just not enough guys at those positions and there are some places we need to go to work and get some kids in just to make sure we have enough kids at those positions. We’re not going to take a bunch of junior college kids, they need to be the right kids off the field, and they need to be kids that fit us and we certainly recruited several of them that fit us and are going to be the right people, and we will see where we land with them.”

On developing players:

“I think that as a staff we believe in our way of doing things. We believe in getting them in the weight room and letting them develop and be strong and athletic and healthy. We believe in the way we practice kids and we believe in the culture that we’re going to bring. All the kids that buy into that. I have no doubt that they’re going to be better football players a year from now than they are right now. I don’t want to talk about any individuals, but I think as a whole, the kids are really going to have a lot of fun playing for us, playing in our schemes and we’re going to make them better. The ones that don’t want to work are going to get left behind, but the ones that do are going to develop and become a lot better for it.”

:jo:

Someone calm me down. Tell me why I should not be excited about Greg Bell.

I have always said in college football speed can win games. In the NFL everyone is fast, in college football a fast guy can win you games.

Right now, Greg Bell is the starting running back if I was running the offense.
