First true frosh to ever start the opener for N. Says a lot about the kids potential. Offense will be pretty exciting to watch again. It’s been awhile, prolly since the last Martinez was a frosh, and he couldn’t throw a lick

Tre Neal gets the start at a safety spot.

I realize he knows Chinander's defense, but that concerns me a bit.

"When UCF's new coaching staff relegated him to the second team in spring practice, it was just the nudge Neal needed to look for a place where he could make the most of his final college season."

Grad transfer from UCF already leader in Nebraska secondary

Please don't run the score up on my hometown university that I attended. Thank you.

They say most improvement is made between weeks one and two.
I'm not real concerned how they look opening week vs Akron, as long as they get the W.

Need to improve enough in weeks 2 (Colorado) and 3 (Troy) to get those wins. 3-0 OOC should be enough to get them a bowl bid and the extra practice going into 2019.

Indeed, your games against Colorado and Troy will be tricky... Remains to be seen if Colorado can recapture some 2016 magic again. By the way glad to see Nebraska and Colorado play again, I'll definitely catch some of that game.

Troy will be very tricky too, they've got a solid well coached team. We play them in week 1 and I am a bit concerned about it

I'll be watching that closely. Also Colorado/Colorado St.
