Also from AB standpoint this was never about wins and losses. He simply hated playing with Ben because his attitude is shit and he is far from a leader.

144-69-1? Football is a team game, not just 1 player, buddy.

And Big Ben has been surrounded by a lot better talent than Carr during the course of his career.

That is the key question.

I think he may be able to learn to do so adequately. I don't think he's athletic enough to ever be a "lockdown" defender. But I think he can be adequate if he learns proper techniques, plays smart, etc..

You're bringing up Ben numbers like i said he was a bad player. They're irrelevant to the reason AB wanted out....

Look at the way Brees, Brady, & Luck lead then compare it to big ben.

None of those guys throw teammates under the bus constantly.

Ben out here throwing a crucial int to a dlineman and blame AB for that somehow

That strategy didn't work when you tried to argue that Pat McCaw who averaged 15 minutes a game over 71 contests wasn't a "rotation player"

It didn't work when 3 years ago you tried to argue that Tristan Thompson was better than Hassan Whiteside.

Could you tell me again how we should compare the luck of a team who lost their 2nd and 3rd best players for 11 of 12 games to the one who lost their best player for no games but he was a little banged up and their 3rd best player for 1 game?

Thanks for stating the obvious. But I was comparing BigBen & Carr's #'s because bksballer89 said BigBen isn't a leader. Which I disagree with.

I really don't get why it is so offensive to them to admit that they were not better than the Warriors at full strength in 2016.

The Cavs won the title. They don't have to give their rings back or anything. The best team doesn't always win the championship.

Dallas and Detroit are prime examples.

None of this is offensive. we are just fans talking on a message board offering opinions. Yours is just way out of whack comparing the "luck" of GS in 2015 to the cavs in 2016.

First off, let me say that I don't think Gruden is a great coach. However, he does have a decent history of being able to work with misfits and "eccentrics". So he and AB may actually work pretty well.

It is far from a worst case for AB though.

Carr isn't a great QB by any stretch, but he can still target AB enough to make him a top WR.

The Steelers are the real losers here. Getting a 3rd and a 5th for the best WR in football over the past 5 years and also losing arguably the best RB for nothing.

Pittsburgh's offense just went from being a juggernaut to being average overnight.

Agree you'd think they could get more for those 2, but doubt they drop to average on offense as long as Big Ben is healthy.

You were the one who mentioned the 2015 and 2016 comparison. I probably don't let it go because it is good for a laugh every time you mention it......and cannot come to grips how foolish the comparison is.

You want to say GS won in 2015 and the cavs did in 2016 so who cares? I get that.....but to compare the luck (if you want to call it luck) is absurd.

I just said they both got lucky. You are the one comparing.

Also, the Cavs weren't a great basketball team in 2015. LeBron and Kyrie hadn't really figured out how to play together. Love wasn't sure if he was fitting in or fitting out. None of the players listened to the head coach.

It was enough to get through the East. But let's stop acting like the 2015 version of the Cavs were anywhere near as good as the 2016 version.

Of course, the Warriors weren't either. And that is where there would be room for debate in 2015.

The Cavs had they had Kyrie Irving and Love in 2015 would have won. The game went 6 with the next best players Delly and Jr smith. In that series GS lost HC as well. Maybe the Cavs finish them off at home with Kyrie shooting 3's instead of Delly hoisting 3's at 20%? Maybe Love extra points and rebounding makes a difference. Put it this way, if Green and Thompson missed an entire series would you say that would have an impact on a series or no?

Lets not mention that this was GS first year in the finals. They had no finals experience or wind at their back going into the next season. Also if they lose, maybe they are less confident going into 2016...

I do believe the Cavs win at full strength, but no way to know.

Now if the situation were reversed and the cavs were at full strength with GS missing Klay and Green? I think the Cavs could name the score in their sweep.

OK, I can play this game.....and how quickly do the 2015 Warriors get bounced if the Cavs are healthy, but Curry loses his #2 and 3 (Green and Klay)? Think Curry and Bogut/Iggy/Liv can steal a game? How about 2?

Of course they get bounced.

Curry is nowhere near as impactful as LeBron. The Warriors need all 3 playing at a high level to beat the top teams.

LeBron was good enough to carry role players to the Finals multiple times In his career.

You are kind of making my point for me. LeBron was the engine in Cleveland. The others were just support. GS doesn't work like that.

Rich Gannon hasn't put up the kind of numbers that Big Ben has, but at least when he was with the Raiders, he was considered a very good to great leader.

Being a nice guy really helps when it matters most. Which is why Phillip Rivers has either tied or set the all time mark for playoff games by a QB w/o a S.B. appearance.

I think to be a great athlete one should have a chip on their shoulder.

You just don't listen.

Taking away the Cavs 2 and 3 isn't the same as taking away GS 2 and 3 because Cleveland's 1 was LeBron freaking James.

And as long as LeBron was on the court and healthy (up until this year) his teams had at least a punchers chance against all but the KD Warriors.

Kyrie and Love helped to be sure. But they weren't as impactful to Cleveland's system as GS 2nd, 3rd and maybe even 4th and 5th guys in Love's case because of the way the two teams played.

Kyrie goes out and it just means the ball is in LeBron's hands every time instead of 2 out of 3 possessions. Yeah, it wears him down. But he still performed at an extremely high level.
