Barkley is a fool tho, lol.

Bron just traded Russell Westbrook to Giannis' team for Ben Simmons.

Barkley responds "What I think Giannis should do is trade every one of his reserves for Anthony Davis"

Barnes could end up the #4 option after this season behind Fox, Buddy, and Bagley. If he defends well and makes his 3's, he'll be worth re-signing because the team needs a true SF for the future.
Agree.

Tobias is a bit better offensively.

But, he's not great defensively.

It would take a max to get Harris.

The gap between the two isn't big enough to justify paying him 10-15 million more per year....

Depending on what you can extend Barnes for.

I don't expect it to be anywhere near the 25 mil he's due next Season.

We will see what these guys are made of tonight.

If they lay down and curl into the fetal position, they are just proving the folks who tried to get them exiled right.

Exactly. And I hope they only score 60 points the entire game. You know me, I always want the best for the Lakers! Ain't that right @ChiefsLakers67?:heh:

That's how my mock went down for him, lol.

Can't wait to see Russ and Embiid on the same team.

Respect to Giannis though for picking Steph. It wasn't official he wanted to join the Warriors until now. Props to letting us know officially.

Me too.

When the Cavs were winning, it was because of LeBron.

When they were losing, it was because of everyone else.

I'm not surprised by the circus.

But, I am completely shocked that they are 10th in the West 50 games in.

The A.S. break couldn't come @ a better time for them. And w/ where LeBron had the Lakers before the injury it wouldn't surprise me if they finish the remainder of the regular season strong. In NBA years he's an old man (lotta miles). But he's can affect a team in positive way like almost (maybe no other?) player.

Just think what his image would be if he was even remotely as charismatic as Magic? I mentioned him because since I've been watching NBA action (early 80's) I think a Magic/LeBron comparison is much more accurate than a LeBron/Kobe comparison.

The Freak needs help in selecting AS players. He took Middleton.

James took AD.
He took the guy he shares a locker room with, that helped him get the best record in the East.

Didn't LeBron take Love last year?

Steph took Klay and Draymond as his first two picks as reserves last year too. Loyalty tho.

I think there's more potential to Harris that signing him to a max wouldn't be a bad thing, but don't think the Kings have a good chance at getting him. And Barnes is a solid SF option if they can re-sign him in the $15-20mil per year range, still only 26 years old.

It's why the players shouldn't be selecting players.

It should be coaches IMO.

I don't think there's any way Barnes opts out of his player option. I think he'll be on your roster next year barring another trade to move him.

Why would the Lakers need Randle? Are you under the impression he's a superstar?

And yes they did take Ball over Tatum. But it's not like they had the first pick and a star player like Anthony Bennett to choose from.
Superstar? No....but a stud and would be the lakers' 2nd best player if they had him.

Bennett was used in the Love trade. anything you can think of that might make you believe No might have wanted Randle in an AD trade if you had him? anything at all?

Wiggins, not Bennett. But yeah Randle would have been another enticing piece.

Cap space was more valuable to the Lakers than Randle was.

They very well might strike out in free agency, but it was the right move. Randle doesn't move the needle any more than any of the current young Lakers.

Don't you think you are taking this a bit to seriously?

Its basically a exhibition.

I hope the Freak trots out a lineup of himself, Embiid, Jokic, Blake and Vuvecic.
