Agreed on the ceiling comment

I guess I look at it like this

If I'm Anthony Davis am I committing to the Knicks, Suns, Cavs or Bulls long term off the bat?

You aren't going to get those assurances from him.

If I'm proven wrong I will be happy to admit so. I don't think he would commit for anyone but Lakers and possibly Celtics ahead of time.
Yep.

Knicks would need to land a 2nd guy this Summer to get a commitment.

By 2nd guy, I mean Kemba, Durant, Kawhi, Klay.

I don't think Middleton or JJ Redick would get it done....lol

I love Middleton.

But, he's not much better than Jrue...if at all.

If somehow the Lakers got AD.....I say fuck another star.

Bring in Redick or Middleton.....that'd be a good trio IMO. Amd Redick and Middleton would be fine as the 3rd option.

Today's headline regarding AD to the Lakers:

Pelicans targeting Lakers Kyle Kuzma, Lonzo Ball and Ivica Zubac

Read the article to find the ultimate source of this rumor and here is what you get:

"There is a belief in Lakers circles that the Pelicans are targeting Kyle Kuzma, Lonzo Ball and Ivica Zubac as part of a possible package..."

:what:

Such garbage shouldn't even be the basis for discussion... it's nothing.

That might be the point though.

If the Pelicans deal AD, they might prefer to bottom out.

Tatum and Brown are nice assets. Far better than anything LA has to offer, but NO might not view Tatum as a franchise cornerstone type piece. Also, Boston might not be offering him.

They might want to start over with nothing and tank hard for a couple years. because let's face it. If AD can't get this roster to the playoffs, Tatum and Brown aren't either.

Hard to believe the Pel's would be looking for a worse deal on the reasoning that it gives them a better chance to tank.

Even if tanking was their main consideration... they'd still probably want to amass draft picks... making Boston a better trading partner again.

Jaylen Brown has arguably been the biggest reason behind the C's turnaround this season... he started out slow, C's were 10-10... he has picked it up... C's are back playing good ball.

Heat making me hate basketball.
Kings have caused the same feelings from me many times. I would enjoy this surprising season more if I thought they had any chance in hell of making the playoffs. Transitioning to the Padres won't be better unless they make some shocking signings/trades before Opening day.

Getting the Pacers in round 1 may even be slightly better than the Hornets or Heat

East 1st round shaping up to be BADDDDD

Have a feeling round 1 going to look something like this.

Milwaukee/Miami
Toronto/Charlotte
Boston/Brooklyn
Philly/Indy

If Brooklyn didn't lose Dinwiddie, I would have had them passing Indy

Tatum is what? up for restricted free agency the summer after this summer? He will be there for AT LEAST 4-5 years I would think. Its very rare for a guy to turn down a max coming off a rookie deal- and Tatum is without a doubt the best young player they could deal for.

The only thing that might be more valuable than tatum in a deal is a top 2 pick i nthe draft and the chance to get one of the 2 (maybe 3) great Duke players.

i commend the Heat on losing to hte Bulls tonight and getting the Bulls a win...not sure how that happened in Miami. yikes.

Bulls suck so bad----

Miami took 42 three's....thats a SHITLOAD.

Bobby Portis is my boy....he reminds me a ton of TT--- but with a lil better offensive game and not quite the rebounding chops. I liked him the year he was drafted as a sleeper. Hes tough.

Pacers offense is just so bad without Oladipo. They just do not have nearly enough scoring now.

I gotta say--- my excitement is being reserved for the Browns.

The Tribe should be very solid again, but the Browns are the ones that have Cleveland abuzz right now.

So much young talent, cap space, extra draft picks, a great GM, and of course BAKER.
