Dirk says hi, both to you and Luka on the daily
@tlance...

Think he would have been in the conversation too?

And you believe from watching them play right now that Lonzo can be better than Kuzma even Ingram? :brick:

Not even halfway through his 2nd season? Yes.

But, he needs the ball in his hands to make the mistakes he needs to in order to learn from them....so trade him.

However, I would rank them a bit differently:

1-Ingram
2-Ball
3-Kuzma
4-Hart

I assume this your list for potential...I just think Ball was over-hyped and you are one of those that is over-hyping him it looks like.

ehhh....pretty close prospect wise between the two.....esp. Wiggins early on.

Wiggins has definitely not lived up to it--- and Simmons has been a little disapointing himself to be honest of late.

That's why they shouldn't have compared him to Lebron...if my memory serves me correctly...he isn't anything like Lebron. More like Magic, just Magic 5.0 lol

he could have been in the conversion for one of the best European players for sure.

But, IMO, hype has a lot to do with a prospects status. And I don't think Petrovic had as much as Luka.

Not sure draft position can be used in his case though, @Shanemansj13 and @DJ because that was an era before Europeans were commonly drafted early. There just wasn't an expectation that they would even be willing or able to travel overseas to play in the NBA.

i definitely think 5 years from now the Lakers may look back at all their draft picks during their down years and Julius Randle will be the best one...lol. A guy they let go for nothing.

I wouldnt bet on that- but there is definitely a chance.

Eh.

Canadians aren't the same. Because we see those guys compete against our top American prospects. Hell, the team I coached played Wiggins when he was in 8th grade.

Not nearly the same intrigue as with a European player we don't get to see on TV once a week.

Wasn't he drafted in the 3rd round? Well when they had a NBA draft with more than 2 rounds. Not sure what his hype was coming into the draft but 3rd round is kinda late....

He was.

He didn't have the Luka hype at the start.

But, after he made 3rd team NBA and went at Jordan in the pros and Olympics, they were all up in his mix.

Had he lived, he would have been special.

It's hard for me to be unbiased with Wiggins salary.

Yep.

But, like @tlance said, it was a different age for Euro guys.

Not as much buzz. So, they weren't drafted early.

Dude was a menace from behind the arc.

People need to rewatch him vs. the dream team.

He couldn't best him.

But, he didn't crumble.

The kid had zero fucks to give....lol
