@WiggyRuss LOL when I said he'd be better off at SG than PG.
and Irving was, is, and will continue to be a point guard. WTF are you even talking about? What alternate reality are you living in that Irving is a shooting guard?

you were proven wrong time and time again

:pound:

James was the PG when he went back to the Cavs and you fucking know it. Irving was basically a SG....

On SI's FN I said Irving would be a good SG.....when James went back to the Cavs.....that's what he became because James was the de facto PG. And the Cavs were better than when Irving was the "PG."

#TimevindicatesDJ

@LAD, @Mecca, @Wamu, @LUNCHBOX

I've always seen Kyrie as more of a SG than PG. It really doesn't matter what you call him. He's still a fucking idiot.

of course James was the Point Guard in Cleveland

he would be the point guard if he played with John Fucking Stockton! he is one of the best distributors OF ALL Time- its why i said its pure incompetence to fit him with Lonzo Ball.

I dont care if you have the love child of Chris Paul and Gary Payton out there---some amalgamation of the best point guards that ever lived--- LEBRON JAMES SHOULD HAVE THE BALL IN HIS HANDS.

Here are the teams Lonzo would start for, IMO:

Hawks- playing alongside Trae
Nets- for sure while Levert is out, possibly while he is too. Dlo could play 2 or come off bench
Hornets- Lonzo starts ahead of Lamb, Kemba plays off ball some
Bulls- they have 2 solid guards, but Lonzo is as good as both
Cavs- Lonzo starts at 1, Sexton at 2
Mavericks- this one is 50-50: he and DSJ are very different players. Maybe both start and MAtthews comes off the bench. Maybe Mathews starts and 1 of the 2nd year guards does
Pistons- better than RJ, IMO
Pacers- starts over collision because of upside. Collison has been solid though
Clippers- starts over Bradley. Moves SGA to 2
Lakers
Heat- for sure while Dragic is hurt
Pelicans
Knicks
Magic
Suns
Spurs

So that is 16 teams. Many are no brainers, some require a bit of creativity

You would expect a #2 pick to be starter for more than half the teams, so you aren't totally wrong @WiggyRuss , but your violent reactionary responses are uncalled for and they honestly make you look bad.

Walker is a perfect example....he'd be great at SG, just like Irving.....

Walker has always been more of a scorer than a natural PG....never averaged more than 6apg......like Irving.

You are understating Ball's abilities and also not looking outside the box.

Because Ball would fit pretty well alongside any of the 3 players listed at the bottom. All 3 are better scorers than facilitators at this point and Ball has the length to defend wing players.

HE WOuld start for probably half the teams in the league. The irony is that I am not sure the lakers should be one. But that is more about fit than anything else.

Yeah, Ball is kind of hard to judge, imo. He's a pass first point guard with elite vision and passing skills and only wants to shot as a last resort. So there really isn't a player in the league who wouldn't want to play with him.

But, at this point in his career, he is a poor shooter that can be left alone so that guys can be double teamed. Also, in half court sets, when the ball is being moved around, it's easy for him to get lost because he knows that scoring isn't a strength, so he isn't very aggressive.

So yeah, I could see him as a starter on roughly half the teams, but I think most would want to have a guy behind him who can score. If he can at least become a decent scorer, he could end up being really good.

i dont know how to say it so it pierces your thick skull---

starting a Lonzo or Rondo or even a Rubio is a liability.

If you start those guys- you are behind the 8 ball because somewhere else you need another shooter.

When you start a guard who sucks at shooting- it puts you behind the 8 ball- when you start a guard like Trae Young at Pg- it opens up options for the team and you start being able to exploit matchup problems and space the floor

What you fail to understand is that by sacrificing one of the guard positions to a non-shooter- you are hurting your team and the options that your team has- and if you cant make up for it by having elite shooting in the front court- your offense will simply not work in todays NBA.

The Cavs starting Sexton and Ball together would be a FUCKING DISASTER- Sexton has his own shooting issues- having 2 guards that are suspect shooters- (even if Sextons shot is not half as broken as Balls) is DEATH to an offense.

THIS IS NOT 1988!!!!!

yah you keep telling embarassing yourself by saying that someone that is 10th on his team in minutes played and playing 12 minutes a game is a rotation player

you are helplessy trapped in an era of basketball that no longer exits- you are an old fart that cant let go of what the NBA used to be and what YOU think it should be instead of embracing what it actually is.

Do you seriously want to bring this up again? Like really?

You can use your semantics all you want. All I ever said about McCaw was that I expected him to play his rookie year because of his defense. He did play a fair amount.

You said I was an idiot for making that claim.

I was right, you were wrong.

Now, do yourself a favor and maybe you should stop bringing this up. Because there is no way you can twist it to make yourself correct here.
