What an Ahole!
Douchey " The Decision " aside...

He really hasn't done a lot to make you dislike him.

I don't put anyone on a pedestal.

But, has anyone with this type of media following ever been this squeaky clean, this long?

Remember: We are in the Social Media era.

Errrrbody has a cellphone camera.

Cosby's rapist ass would have been erased decades ago if his hayday was in this era.

Here we go again...

14.

He was fricking FOURTEEN!!!!!

I try to tell my kids that this shit can come back to haunt them....

Several of Kyler Murray's old homophobic tweets surface hours after he wins Heisman Trophy

I'm so over these losers who got time to pull up old tweets from nearly 10 years ago

Dude was joking with his friends and talking like most 14 or 15 year olds during that time. I used to talk like that at the same age when i was 14 or 15 back in the early 2000's

Waiting until the most important moment of these kids lives to try and shit on them.

He and Ingram are totally getting traded. I don't know when (deadline, next summer, etc), but their days in purple and gold are numbered. Neither has really flourished next to Lebron like some thought. Only Kuzma has really shown out (I don't include Hart because he's more of a role player anyway). The team is winning, but its still because sooooo much of it is just Lebron being Lebron. It looks funky on the court, the pieces don't really work, but somehow they keep winning. Going forward though, their gonna need a more dependable star next to him. Only FAs I see potentially signing there next summer are Boogie (who could be fractions of what he once was) and maybe Kawhi, so trading for help seems like a viable option.

The problem is, it's hard to know how much is the result of having a player like Lebron who does so many things well that he impacts everyone's stats. Or if they just aren't going to develop into who folks thought they'd be.

Ingram plays better when Lebron is off the court. Hopefully, he can learn to adjust better when Lebron is on the court. Not sure how long the Lakers will wait though.

Surprisingly, Ball seems to be having a little less trouble adjusting to Lebron, but even then, they play better when Lonzo is running the offense and Lebron is off ball. When Lebron is running the offense, Lonzo looks lost at times.

Kuzma seems to fit like a glove with Lebron and as you point out, Hart is a role player, his game fits pretty much anywhere.

There have been The Brow to the Lakers rumors pretty much since he signed with Klutch. If there is any truth to those, we're probably looking at both Ball and Ingram being gone. Would like to keep one of them, but I doubt the Pelicans will settle for that. If they are going to include KCP (who's actually been playing pretty well) nothing can happen until Dec. 15th.

Kind of disgusting really.

Show me a 14 year old kid who doesn't have something inappropriate on social media, and I will show you a 14 year old that doesn't have any social media accounts.

Let it go people. Unless he said it recently, I don't want to hear about it.

Agree. It's one of the main things wrong with all of this social media, instant access technology.

Everyone has said things among friends and family that would be extremely embarrassing and/or paint them in a really bad light. Maybe a joke, maybe they were venting, whatever...everyone has done or said things that they wouldn't want made public.

Imo, people who sit on this kind of crap and wait to release it at moments like these are just morons who are trying to feel better about themselves.

TT is really the consumate professional, great teammate, durable, plays hard no matter what. Some interesting comments from Joe Vardon at the Athletic after his game:

9. Oh, and Tristan Thompson had a career night, too, with 23 points (season high, not far off from his career high of 29) and 19 rebounds, and five assists.

11. “Obviously every team that comes in here is going to feel very relaxed and feel like they don’t have to put their best foot forward,” Thompson said. “I know how teams come in and approach us because we used to be that team that would approach teams that are in a different stage or got a lot of younger players.”

12. God love Tristan. Since he brought it up, I asked him how many of the Cavs’ six wins were against teams taking them lightly, the way the LeBron-era Cavs used to loaf some nights against inferior opponents. Thompson counted them out loud. Hysterical.

13. “Today, Houston, Philly, who else we beat?” Thompson began. “Atlanta? No they played hard. (Charlotte?) They did, and Brooklyn (was) down to the wire, so four out of the six wins those teams definitely came in very light, and I understand. Look at our record. I understand.”

Johhny Flynn, err...Sexton went 13 of 23 for 29 points, 6 assists, 3 boards.

to quote Vardon:

"Since Sexton joined the Cavs’ starting lineup, he’s averaging 18.9 points, shooting .474 from 3-point range, and contributing 3.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists. He shot 13-of-23 Saturday. He’s scored at least 20 points in the last three games; the last Cleveland rookie to do that was Dion Waiters."

For the season, Sexton is shooting almost 46% from the floor and almost 44% from 3. That kind of efficiency out of a 19 year old rookie that does not have other guys taking much attention off him is great. Sexton has been everything that the Cavs could have hoped for at this point. Tough, great work ethic, efficient, and playing better than any 19 year old can be expected to play- especially with a dearth of teammates that can create and draw attention.

some great stuff from Vardon on the Delly/Kyrie practice battles as well....

"Delly is nothing short of a cult hero in Cleveland. When he entered the building Saturday, security guards clapped for him. He sat on the Cavs’ bench Saturday, and he was given a standing ovation.

One other thing about him. He’s usually a terrible quote. Everything is understated. Like this.

“I think that gets exaggerated a little bit about me and Kyrie at practice.” He’s referring to the daily practice battles Dellavedova waged with Kyrie Irving. In a great ESPN article from 2015 about this, Thompson said he used to have to break up fights between them. “They used to fuck each other up,” Thompson said then.

“Yeah that’s good,” Thompson said Saturday. “Delly’s going to pick you up 94 feet and Kyrie is going to hit you with the Uncle Drew stuff, so they was f’ing each other up. That’s good though.”

Lonzo is just kinda ok at a little of everything. A meh jumper.

Yea he averaged 7 dimes a game on an awful team. Respectable defender.

Not a top five guy so far obviously
Lonzo was on fire to start the year in October.

Right now his FG% is back under 40%...at 38.4%, and his 3 pt shooting is down to 31.8%. He just cant shoot under 40% from the field. AT this point, a 2nd year player with all the attention that LeBron draws, to not be at least at 42% from the field is pretty sorry.

Because of his injuries (which seem to be another issue), Ball does not qualify to be on the stats list, but if he was, he would be about #31 amongst NBA point guards in shooting % (out of the people that qualify)--- right behind Ricky Rubio at 39.3%. Seems like those 2 are VERY similar players- Rubio and Ball.

TT would be a really solid addition to any team, but that contract makes him virtually untradeable, imo. Although, he does become an expiring contract next year, sooo....

If I'm the Cavs, he might be a guy that I want to keep though. He has championship experience and seems to be a good locker room guy as well. The Cavs have and are going to continue to acquire young guys who can learn a lot from him.

all the reporters on the radio- Lloyd, Vardon, Pluto- all have said to keep him

with his 18M dollar contract next year the return they could get for him is negligble even though he has been playing great.

So strange his rebounding numbers shoot up so much when Kevin Love and LeBron James -2 of the best rebounders at their positions in the league- are no longer sharing the court with him....

Having him, Delly, Nance Jr., Sexton, Cedi, Frye, Clarkson....all these guys are hard workers that are pro's that wont let the losing effect them as much as it would guys like JR, etc. that have to be in good situations to behave and give full effort.

its one of the reasons why i am not surprised to see Delly back.

it is going to be a rough couple years- this year and next year at least, but with the guys they have the team wont splinter apart and it should be a decent situation to develop guys in.

I don't think it's a surprise. He's always been a very good, if not elite rebounder. Not having Lebron and Love just means more rebounds for him, so he's gobbling them up like a fat guy at an all you can eat buffet. lol

Yeah, that contract is tough. It's good for him because he got paid more than he would have by any other team, but the downside for him is that he's likely going to be stuck on a rebuilding team for at least 1 more year after this one.

Fortunately for the Cavs, if a guy has to be stuck in that type of situation, you'd want it to be a guy like TT who will handle it like a professional.

Given the nature of the team (minus the snitching business) you'd have to think the Lakers would take Russell over Ball.

The irony
