I wonder if it's a coinkidink that as soon as they got rid of CP3 & Austin the team found cohesiveness. :heh:
And Blake! And DeAndre!

@flyerhawk ...

Was a defensive minded guard on your wants list?

Because, I'm sure the Clippers are open for business with Beverley.

He's being a good little soldier after losing his starting spot to the Rookie.

But, he will be ufa this Summer.

So, I expect either he or Milos to be gone by the deadline.

Milos has already said he's going back to Europe.

So, Beverley is the guy that can bring us back at least a 2nd rounder.

His low,non- guaranteed salary of 5 mil complicates a return for the Clippers who won't want to bring back long-term contracts.

So, 2nd rounder it is because a even a late 1st is guaranteed money.

yah no

a staff of Bill Belicheck, Bill Walsh and Paul Brown couldnt win 5 games with what the Browns had last year- esp. considering the injuries to Garrett and Ogbah.

Coaching means more on football than any other sport by far.

Sean McVay is living proof and Hue Jackson is on the level of Jeff Fisher. The game has passed him by.

The more and more I think about it I wouldnt mind the Cavs not getting the 1 or 2. Reddish will likely be picked 3 or 4 barring some craziness. I like him in the current NBA. I’m sure Zion and Barrett will be great but Reddish can shoot lights out, plain and simple, he also can be a pesky defender with his great size and length 6’8” 218. His per 40 stats are insane early playing pretty good competition and being the 3rd option on a talented team
dont get me wrong- i want Williamson at #1, but if they get Reddish or Barret i will be very happy with either of those guys too

I have said this before- but they interviewed Channing Frye on the Cavs and he said that he would take Reddish #1 because of how the game is played in the NBA.

I still think Williamson could be a freak of nature- like Blake Griffin on steroids with a better floor game--- but if they get Barret or REddish id be happy with that.

They just need a top 3 pick to advance the rebuild in a big way.

Reddish would be a GREAT fit with SExton.

dude

think of your key positions in the NFL

QB- the Browns had Kizor, Hogan and Kessler- AWFUL- not even 1 win among all 3 of them- all are terrible

WR- 2 guys that are out of football in Britt and coleman were their starters

LT- Joe Thomas got hurt less than half way into the season and they played Spencer Durango- who is terrible

CB- i am not even sure who their #1 CB was- whoever it was- he is gone and was terrible

DE- Garret was a rookie and missed the first 6 games and was never fully healthy....Ogbah was a 2nd year player who got hurt and missed half the season.

ThatBrowns team had to be EASILY the least talented team in the NFL in the last decade +

I am well aware.

They lost 5 games by 4 points or less.

Coaching matters. They were terrible, but not as bad as you say. You ignore all the bright spots they did have (run game, defensive line)

With a decent coach, Kizer would have never seen the field and Kessler could have been coached up to win a couple.

With a decent coach they win 2 or 3. A great coach they get more. The Raiders are currently less talented than last year's Browns, they aren't very well coached and they have 2 wins.

I'll say it again. I have not hated a Heat team this much since 2007-2008

Wade should just retire now. No need for him to go through this in his final year.

17-2 run by the Hawks to end the half lol

That's rough, they should probably trade Whiteside.

Dragic would be easier to trade
Him too, a rebuild makes sense. They've got some good young players but not really close to contending right now.

And they have their own 1st round picks the next 2 seasons so now is the time.

The other option is to try and make a big FA signing or big trade while keeping Whiteside and Dragic, but I think the window to contend would be open longer if they just moved them for assets, continue to add young players through the draft, and go for a big splash in FA 2-3 years from now.

I wouldn't mind Dragic but at this point, I'm ready for Bam to start at C.

Pretty much all of the bad contracts are off the books at the end of next season so planning to make a splash in 2-3 years is a solid plan
