LOL.

My bad.

Thought he fired Malone too.

Player issues are always a legitimate reason for coach firing. And if Joerger can't relate to his guys, then maybe he isn't that good of a coach. Xs and Os can only take a coach so far. Ability to forge relationships with players is arguably even more important in the modern era.

The days of dictator coach are long past in the NBA.
The guy who fired Malone also traded IT for nothing, two very bad decisions.
And everything I've heard about Luke Walton over the last couple days says he's a good players coach which is a plus. Hopefully he does well coaching the team on the court while also getting along with them off it.

Did SAS just claim that the King's coaching job is something special? I understand they have an intriguing young roster, but that's putting the cart in front of the horse a bit...

Thoughts?

Get a decent coach for him and maybe he won't have to do everything himself. The history of coaches he's had is embarrassing. Imagine if he ACTUALLY had a good to great coach. Wow, I can't even imagine him with Pop.
Him being a passive aggressive, narcissistic drama queen is because of his coaches?

He wanted Lue.

Just heard something interesting on Cowherd re: the Lakers search for a President.

He said that he has heard that they already have someone and that they are currently with a playoff team, so nothing can be announced yet. He said that this person also has okay'd Pelinka's interview list of Monty Williams, Ty Lue, etc.

He also said that Monty would be their first choice, but they will likely end up with Lue.

Apparently, Monty is expected to take over the Sixers unless they make a deep run.

I think David Blatt would be a great coaching hire for the Lakers.

Thoughts @Shanemansj13 ? I know you're not a big RJ fan.

I hope so bc I have a feeling the Cavs will pick him if they dont get the #1. I do think is a need on the Cavs though. Watched a video comparison on him and Zion and I dont know how to feel honestly

I also don't like he isn't a very good 3 point shooter but most importantly a FT shooter. 3 point can be worked but I don't like he is in 60's for FT%.

But overall I think he is a good fit for the Cavs I just didn't like what I saw with him at Duke. It can definitely change in the NBA and the team around him. Maybe I am being too harsh on him lol

Been doing a lot of research on Barrett and there are more and more things I am starting to like about him though. I'm already getting ready for the Cavs to draft him and trying to stay positive lol. I just hope he translates well to the NBA, whatever team he goes to
