Warriors have the easiest possible first round matchup against the sorriest team in the playoffs. Finally things are looking up

Well, they should because they are the number 1 seed.

But also, the bottom 3 in the East are definitely weaker than the Clippers.

its not going to be a big name. It'll be a developmental guy.

One guy that I thought would be a great coach one day when he was with the Cavs was Malone- who is now the coach of the Nuggets.

i suspect they go for a young guy who is up and coming with some innovative ideas and a focus on developing young guys. Dont expect a Jason Kidd of Mark Jackson or Tom Izzo or random big name retread.
Can't say I know much about him but name I've heard a few times is Jordy Fernandez......think he's a G-League coach maybe.

Very nice pic, Mecca. But you can smile better than that. Gave me morning wood.

Love the braids....

The east doesn’t count. They are the D League

I mean, be a top 10 PG in the NBA you have to be SO good.

here are the top 10, in my mind, in pretty much no specific order

1. RW
2. Lillard
3. Curry
4. CP3
5. Kyrie
6. Holliday
7. Kemba
8. Lowry
9. Conley
10. Russell (does Deangelo Russel break into top 10 point guards?

is Ben Simmons a point guard? Is Doncic a point guard?

Right outside-- Harris, Fox, Bledsoe, (should we count John Wall?), Trae Young

Last:

Lonzo Ball and whoever the Suns are starting

Solid list, I think Ben Simmons is for sure a PG. Doncic is a SF in my mind, although he operates with the ball in his hands a lot like Lebron does.

I'd probably move Ben Simmons into that top 10 and probably bump Conley. D-Lo gets the nod over him right now for being the best player on his team and making the playoffs.

But there's a serious like 7 or 8 player discussion for the next few spots. You got guys like John Wall (injured but also prob a top 10 guy when healthy), DeAaron Fox, Trae Young, Jamal Murray, Eric Bledsoe, Derrick Rose, Ricky Rubio, Collin Sexton all with solid arguments for their positions in the rankings.

Lets rank em and just see how freaking hard it will be for Sexton to be a top 10 point guard one day--- all though, obviously some guys will age out- some (CP3, Conley, Lowry, etc.) sooner than others. I am not going to rank John Wall since he might miss the entire year next year.

1. Steph Curry
2. Damian Lillard
3. Kyrie Irving
4. Russell Westbrook
5. Jrue Holliday
6. Chris Paul
7. Kemba Walker
8. Ben Simmons (lets count Simmons since I guess he does play PG)
9. Kyle Lowry
10. Deangelo Russell
11. Mike Conley
12. Eric Bledsoe
13. DeAronFox
14. Trae Young
15. Jamal Murray
16. Terry Rozier
17. Darren Collison
18. Colin Sexton
19. Goran Dragic
20. Ricky Rubio
21. Derrick White

There is my top 20.

Man this is gonna be tough. Also you gotta factor in Dejounte Murray who was out all year too. If he can get back healthy he's easily in the top 20 too.

1. Steph Curry
2) Damian Lillard
3) Russell Westbrook
4) Kyrie Irving
5) Ben Simmons
6) Kemba Walker
7) CP3
8) Jrue Holiday
9) Kyle Lowry
10) DeAngelo Russell
11) Mike Conley
12) De'Aaron Fox
13) Trae Young
14) Jamal Murray
15) Eric Bledsoe
16) Ricky Rubio
17) Terry Rozier
18) Collin Sexton
19) Dennis Schroeder
20) Goran Dragic

Hardest omissions from healthy players was Darren Collison and Reggie Jackson. Those guys have had good years, but I think all of the guys on this list are better than them.

Lets be real...even if he does blossom into an all-star most likely it is going to take 3-4 years to make that list anyway. Lets say he turns into a D-Lo...not bad at all. So maybe in his 4th year he can make the bottom of that top 10 bc guys like CP3 and Lowry could fall out. It's just there are a lot of young PG's like Fox, Young, Murray, Rozier...gonna be tough unless he exceeds expectations. If he continues to shoot great from outside and expands passing skills along with that floater and quickness he has he can jump up quick but it will be tough with all those great players.

His passing is probably the key to climbing that list though tbh.
