Interesting how some of the trolliest trolls have disappeared. Even though LeBron finally had a shit year @DorianRo is AWOL. And the Warriors are rolling so of course @Montalban has nothing to say.

Actually, I just heard (literally about 20 minutes ago) that the rift started with Pelinka wanting Fox and Magic wanting Ball.

Magic was the one touting Lonzo as the next Magic.

That actually makes more sense than Jeanie stepping in.

Although, from a business perspective, drafting "the next Magic" from UCLA would be pretty good for business.

I agree with the bolded, it would be a perfect story. The problem with that is if you allow yourself to put that in your mind, you start putting blinders on for other potential better players. Both players are far from a finished product, but Fox looks to be the better player right now. As a Lakers fan, I'm sure you wouldn't care who's the next cornerstone player of your franchise in terms of where he went to school; whether it be Kentucky or UCLA.

Kings firing Joerger is the dumbest move. Such a Kings thing to do. Always so allergic to success. Franchise finally moving in the right direction, amd we shoot ourselves in the foot for Luke Walton? Or some other coach that isn't half as good as Joerger?

Frustrating franchise is frustrating.

Exactly. I agree that Lonzo becoming that player would be a great story and maybe that will happen. He's definitely young enough.

But as far as being the better player? Right now, it looks like it's Fox.

It's official now, coach is gone. Not sure how to feel about this right now. The team exceeded expectations by a lot but he wasn't a great coach.

Vlade still has a job. That’s where I wouldn’t feel very good.

all depends on if they actually have a plan and replacement in mind.

If they hire like Jason Kidd itll be awful.

I think he's bounced back from that horrible Philly trade to be at least competent. The Suns trade worked out and getting Barnes could be a good thing but that's TBD. Same with Bagley over Luka, it's easy to say it was a major mistake but if Bagley got the same PT he might have put up similar numbers. Not the best GM around but not the worst either.

Jason Kidd, Mark Jackson, or even Luke Walton if he becomes available. Pass

if acually heard Luke Walton connected to both the Kings and Cavs potential job openings if he becomes available

I want NO PART of Mark Jackson.
Luke Walton might be the favorite, I'm concerned

Guess it depends how you look at it

Would you rather have Nance and Gobert or Green and Whiteside

If we take contract into equation...

Well, that is a no brainer.

Because Nance and Gobert both make less than their counterparts and Gobert is the best player of the 4.

Idk where I'd rank him among GM's, maybe he's somewhere in the middle and maybe he's bottom 5. The team is in a better position now than they were when Vlade got hired despite the horrible start and actually look like they could be close to making the playoffs for the first time in over a decade. He's got a big offseason ahead to justify getting a contract extension, choosing the right head coach and making smart additions to the team.
