could be interesting. Maybe Griffin and Ferry work on the AD trade.Lebron is shipping them out at some point so what does he care lol. If they were to somehow get Griffin he could definitely pull some strings and make the moves. I doubt that happens though
Shit got me feeling real sad tonight.
All these guys I grew up watching when I was a teenager (and a little before) are leaving the game. Been watching all of these guys for about 20 years so to see them leave the game really sucks.
Not the biggest LBJ fan but I know I'm going to be fucked up when he retires.
Yep. The good old days are always when one was young themselves.Yeah last night was kind of surreal for me too. I grew up watching the great players who were drafted in the 90's which solidified my love of the game of basketball. All my favorites are now done, C-Webb, KG, Ray Allen, Dirk, Timmy, Iverson, etc.
Vince Carter is the last of that era of basketball left and he's probably on his way out too. Gonna miss that era.
couldn't be on the players or the guy who assembled them?
You'd know better as I rarely see Heat games, but remember hearing the same after every Cavalier loss the past few years. Yes, every one. Was almost always the coaches' fault. Yes, occasionally would be the 3rd quarter issue...would just think of something else when the 3rd went fine. It's on them as well. But Spo's substitution patterns have been often his achilles heels as a coach, and costed us several games this year. Additionally, over the last few years, the Heat have been known to have horrid 3rd quarters, which often times we've let go of significant leads. Moreso than any other team.
@bksballer89 feel free to add anything I've missed.
Are you kidding? We would immediately get 10,000 words on why the change of scenery means Whiteside is now a valuable player and TT is now overrated and uselessPat Riley needs to trade Whiteside to the Cavs for Tristan. It would be a win/win for both teams.
Plus a trade like that would make wiggy's head explode. He wouldn't know who to root for.
who can blame them...?

I'm all for it. Don't know where he's going to get the money though.
there is a better chance that i win the Iron Throne on Game of Thrones than Whiteside turning down 27M in one season.
27M?!?!?! Hassan Whiteside turning down a GUARANTEED 27M for one season?!?!?!I'm all for it. Don't know where he's going to get the money though.
Maybe, but I'd blame it as much on Riley and the players. Many think team with the better player often wins and I'd say all those teams' best player is better than Miami's best player. With the Cavs the last few years, you take into account that it's a team that's going to be harshly judged throughout the year (oh, this team had Lebron, Kyrie and Love, they should win 60 games). If they meet said marker, people are then going to say "Well, the playoffs are going to be where they're judged". This was the mentality that Lebron came in with and that the Cavs had adopted. This year at the very least, the Heat have not had that stigma as they were judged on the totality of their season. Suffice it to say, even with the injuries, the Heat should not have missed the playoffs to the likes of the Magic and Nets. This season was an absolute failure, IMO.
