Looks like Nuggets are getting the 3 seed. Just couldn’t hang on at the end of the year. I like their first round matchup though so at least they should get by to the 2nd round and likely face the Rockets.

Maybe not...weird scenarios in play

I hope D-wade and Dirk don't play their final game. Their last home games were the perfect way to go out

Btw, the context I heard the negative remarks were from a few Bucks fans. There had been speculation NBA teams might be interested in Bennett. (Damn though, the slow tempo his teams play at couldn't be more of a contrast with the direction the league shifted this season.) Seemed like ignorant disrespect because Dick Bennett is a Wisconsin legend.

Sure.

People will knock the style. Even though it works insanely well.

What I meant is you won't ever hear a negative comment about him as a person. He is very bit as humble in real life as he comes off in interviews. Just an absolute first class human being.

That said, the pack line system would work in the NBA without substantial changes. But if Bennett coached at that level he would be smart enough to make them.

That said, I hope he is at UVA for life. There is talk among UVA fans that we should name the court after him like Duke did with coach K. No price to keep him here is too high.

Gentry: AD got 'bad advice,' led to toxic situation

"Not this toxic, no," Gentry said. "Not that affected two teams. And two guys. One lost his job and the other one resigned from his job. So no, in 31 years I hadn't had anything that would equal this kind of fallout. No, I haven't."

The two guys Gentry was referencing were former Pelicans general manager Dell Demps, who was fired in mid-February after the trade deadline passed, and Lakers president Magic Johnson, who abruptly quit prior to the Lakers' season finale on Tuesday night.

Playing slow just tends to mean you're more vulnerable to being beaten by a vastly inferior team, which a casual fan should be able to grasp.
I remember when Bennett took the Virginia job. My perception at the time (as someone new to following the sport nationally) was it was sort of a lateral move for him.
Mike Brey is the other guy in your conference who seems all class. I heard him and Bennett together on a television preseason show a few years back and melted.
Congrats!

My guess is Wade plays just because people paid to see him play.
Prob 20 minutes, like preseason.

Yep.

He is phenomenal. And his influence extends far beyond the basketball court.

You will never hear anybody say something bad about Tony Bennett the man.

Finally all the haters who thought UVA's style couldn't win in March can STFU!
sorry...forgot. Congrats!!

@bksballer89

How did your picks do this week?
I think I did good enough to hold you off but you never know.

It doesnt matter.

Players matter

If they get Anthony Davis (seem like almost a lock) and Kawhi Leonard (??), this is all just chatter.

Magic Johnson + Mitch Kupchak + Jerry Buss + Jerry West combined would have zero bearing on those decisions.

They will come because of Lebron or not come because of Lebron.

The Lakers GM would be the last thing AD/Kawhi care about.
I agree...though many think losing Griffin was why Lebron decided to go....absurd.

And.....done. Shouldn't have had to rely on other teams to get us into the playoffs. This failure is on Spo. There were so many games that we had huge leads only to blow them in the 2nd half.
couldn't be on the players or the guy who assembled them?

I would blame injuries. They just got a little unlucky with them is all. The key players for Detroit and Orlando missed very little time.
