Surprised he kept his job as long as he did.
That was because of the insane loyalty of Leonsis. Loyalty can be a good thing at times but quite often a burden.

The Washington Wizards have fired GM Ernie Grunfeld, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.
Depending on who they replace Grunfeld with....Yes!!!!!!!! It may not be better for the next year or two but hopefully this is a real positive long term. Hopefully Brooks is next.
Amazing. Grunfeld was the Wizards GM almost 4x as long as he was the Bucks GM. BBRef lists his first transaction there as the signing of Gilbert Arenas. Leonsis bought the team almost 9 years ago. And many of us could tell 8+ years ago the ownership change was quite fortuitous for Grunfeld's survival. I can't believe it's been that long.
Nice joke but the kid has shown he deserves to play in this League.Is that Robinsons brother?

@tlance
Was Errnie's big mistake not bringing in PP when he had the chance when he still had some gas left in the tank?
They need a rule or a clause to help save teams from themselves with those supermaxes, the Grunfeld Rule. He should be the new Ted Stepien.
yes. May providence and his boy Friday guide him.Is that Robinsons brother?
maybe hte Lakers can continue to destroy their chances at a top 4 pick.......oh wait...too late...lolSo the Thunder are a double digit favorite over the lakers tonight. This should go well.
