Mike Trout got a fucking sick extension by the Angels.....holy crap.
I have to say I embrace a Sixers-Pistons 1st round matchup.
I say Philly in 6 if that happens...
I say Philly in 6 if that happens...
Hmm. Maybe. In the past 2 years the Pistons have beaten the Sixers one time, an overtime loss early this season with Ben Simmons out and Griffin scoring 50. Most of the games have been double digit wins for the Sixers.
The Sixers/Pistons season series was wrapped up by December 10th.
2 of the games took place while Detroit was on a season long 5 game losing streak.
Still think Philly win rather easy but I'm not reading anything from games that were played in October, November, and early December
I guess Harper wont be wooing himMike Trout got a fucking sick extension by the Angels.....holy crap.
if its the right max player- like Dwade- why not?
and, i mean, its hard to get a second all star level player before you get your first all star level player, lol.
beats the hell out of signing a bunch of fringe mediocre players to expensive long term deals and fighting it out for the bottom of the eastern conference playoff picture.
Sorry, no clue what you are trying to say here.
well you just gotta hit-----
The Cavs hit on Kyrie Irving big, and obviously used the Wiggins pick as trade ammo.....
Imagine if the Lakers- out of the 4 lotto pick they had---- say Randle and Dlo were just plain ole busts---- if they draft Fox or Tatum instead of Ball, and trade Ingram for Paul (which was offered by the Pacers) right now they are a fucking GREAT team.
like the Sixers---- Fultz, Okafor, Noel- total busts----- but they hit on a couple guys in Simmons and Embiid, and traded away Saric and Covington ----
no one is going to hit 100% of the time unless you are fucking Sam Presti, lol.
but what you gotta do is at least hit one time big time, and uses the rest of the picks/assets to roudn out the roster whether via trade or smart picks.
I guess Harper wont be wooing him
Don't blow your wad over having draft picks and cap space - it doesn't always work out. I can't spell it out any clearer than that. Especially when your franchise isn't exactly the best ran in the league.
In order of preference for me it's...
Keep Luke: None of this is his fault and he's the only one who hasn't been pointing any fingers. He's a good coach with the potential to be very good, but has been put in an untenable situation.
Doc: If this is a real thing (apparently he's always wanted to coach the Lakers), I think he would be the most attractive to potential FA's.
Lue: He knows how to deal with Lebron and Lebron seems to like and listen to him. That's 75% of the battle right there.
Jackson: He did a good job developing the Warriors when they were a bunch of kids learning how to play. Don't know if he could have done with the Warriors what Kerr has because he was apparently such an asshole, they got rid of him. If he learned his lesson from that, he could be good for the Lakers kids.
Kidd: No thank you. About the only positive I can see is that he might be able to help develop Lonzo.
Has anyone ever asked why they got rid of Randle? There is a huge difference between picking #1 overall and any pick thereafter. There's usually at least 1 seemingly can't-miss player in every draft, with a few exceptions of course. Lakers were never able to get that #1 pick because of teams tanking harder. 1 #7 (Randle, Wiggins #1) and 3 consecutive #2 picks: Russell (KAT #1), Ingram (Simmons #1), Ball; after 4 years of no 1st rounders at all.
Embiid sat for 2 years before playing, and Simmons sat 1. In LA, there would've been huge bust talk surrounding such picks, especially Embiid.
Sam Presti's excellence is vastly overstated. He also traded away Ray Allen and Harden, among others. He hasn't drafted anyone of much impact since 2013.
someone will eventually give her a shot. Why not?No interest in Lue/Jackson/Kidd. Lue and Jackson are Lebron yes men. Kidd hasn't proven to be much of a coach IMO. Give me someone new, like Becky Hammon. So many of the other "new" assistants are former players that I don't know anything about, coaching talent wise, so I would leave that to someone more in the know.
