Agree....at this time, sure, can still play but you'd just be getting the name at this point....and for way too much.

Here's the thing...

The Lakers window opens, and closes, with Lebron.

Marc isn't cooked.

But, he's nowhere near the player he was a few years ago.

He's putting up a shade under 16ppg and a solid 8 boards a game.

Guess what his career average is?

15 and 7.

He'd be good on a 2 year deal at a fair price.

Nobody is giving him a max and they shouldn't.

I'm not saying no way I'd want him. I think only way he takes his true value, though, is for a better shot at a title (which LA could be depending who else they get). Otherwise, he'll want and might even get $20 mil plus from somewhere.

I think they are sitting him needlessly.

He's missed 16-25 games 4 times in 7 years and 8-10 twice.

I thought that 9 game Season was a aberration.

It's just the worst Season in a career of missing 8 games or more.

Still, I'd give him the max...lol

yah the "we need playmakers instead of shooters and not to do this like cleveland" turned out to be one of the STUPIDEST fucking things i have ever seen a GM utter. Magic should be humiliated he uttered those words. His approach was a disaster.

Everyone said it would be a shitshow.

But, It started off well.

The beginning of the end was spitgate.

Shit started fucking up fast, picking up speed, when Lebron went down.

I will say, I was wrong about McGee.

Dude played well.

Lance was his usual agony and ecstasy self.

Took Rondo much longer than expected to go off the rails.

where I disagree is it's likely those "other scorers" would be better than green and he wouldn't be the best player.

The "best player" isn't always the best scorer though. Plenty of examples of that over time in the NBA.

The Pistons match up worst with the Sixers and Bucks. I'd like the Sixers to drop to the 4. Pistons the 6

Or the Pistons to drop to the 7 because they just beat the Raptors yet again

I don't expect a playoff win but it's not like any of the teams have major playoff pedigree aside from the Celtics.
