Mark Jackson does a lot of annoying shit as an announcer. The worst though has to be when he says "Give X player credit for being good at something", like no one gives said player credit. Meanwhile, I just heard him say give Stephen Curry credit for being a good shooters......Mark, plenty of people have given Curry credit for being a good shooter.

See this is the stuff when we say you have terrible basketball takes...

Draymond on a bad team would be Joken Noah...IE you wouldn't talk about him at all
the draymond of 4 years ago that was in shape and kicking ass and shooting like a sniper was pretty good

this version of draymond looks pretty damn mediocre thats for sure.

Phoenix has been playing some decent ball lately....tied with the Cavs with 17 wins....

It would be nice if Phoenix passed the Cavs......

Cavs, with 17 wins and Bulls with 19 though seems like Cavs should be pretty secure with at least the 3 slot in the lotto which is nice.

would be nice to get 2 and some added protection on a worst-case scenario and how far they could fall though.

A year or two ago, it was a foregone conclusion that Green would get a max contract.

Not so sure I'd want to do that if I'm Golden State going forward.

Draymond just turned 29.....so when he hits free agency he will be 30 years old.

thats not old- but hes a guy that definitely relies on his athleticism. In his breakout year of '15-'16 he shot 49% from the field and 39% from 3

this year he is at 42.9% from the field and 24.6% from 3.

in his breakout season he averaged 9.5 rebounds per game. Now he is at 7.4 rebounds per game.

in his breakout season he averaged 14 points per game. currently he is scoring 7 points per game.

from 49% fg, 39% 3, 14 points, 9.5 boards a game to 42.9% fg, 25% from 3, 7 points, 7.4 boards.

there has been some significant regression to say the least. I would not give Draymond a max contract.

Klay Thompson 3 pt shooting by month:

October: 31.3%
November:36.6%
December: 33.7%
January: 47.5%
February: 46.7%
March (4 games): 48.7%

safe to say the early season "slump" is long gone....lol....shooting over 47% from 3 for a 2 and a half month period aint bad--- esp. when you are taking 9 three's a game.

I'm not necessarily looking at PPG with the cast on Golden State.

But from all of the other numbers you've listed, and the fact that Draymond's defense looks to have taken a hit as well, that stands to reason that as you've mentioned - giving Draymond a max would not be responsible and would be simply rewarding for previous play, not future.

especially when you can take a lot more bullshit from a player when they are playing at an ALL NBA level, and when they are not playing at an ALL NBA level, you are a lot less likely to take a bunch of nonsense and bullshit.

Hasn't Durant been out for like 2 weeks now? Don't think he's pussying out considering he's played in front of them as a Warrior.
thats true but it just does nt surprise me seeing him miss games there- he def. is the type of guy that would duck that shit.

Games like this and the Houston game earlier this week is why I hated the injury excuse from warriors fans.

You're still better than every team when one of your stars are out and probably better than 98% of the league when 2 are missing.
They only have 4 players who have made an all star team in the last few years in their starting lineup instead of 5, I'm surprised they're playing this well.

last 4 games Colin Sexton is averaging about 24, 4, 3 and 1 turnover per game.

4 turnovers in the last 4 games combined.......shooting well over 50% from the field in that stretch as well and 50% from 3 on 7 three point attempts per game.

kid can play thats for damn sure.

Wait. You mean the guy that's overly sensitive to anything the media says (but is considering going to NY where the media is brutal) and also has a burner twitter account?......yeah you're probably right.
