Oh man....

It's kinda rural where we live.

Lots of open spaces for the trikes and quads.

So, I have been trying to teach my 15 year old how to drive.

Exercise in futility is a mild understatement.

She's so scary....lol

My 13 year old has one of those fat tire e scooters.

So, she does my almond, chip and soda runs to the store inside our Community Clubhouse....lol
At 13 she probably actually still likes running errands for you lol

I remember when I was teaching my son to drive. I know that's where the bulk of my gray hair came from lol

No clue what's gonna happen to my wife when daughter goes to college next year. she's very controlling. Daughter even tells me, "ya know I'm staying out drinking until 3am every night to make up for lost time, right"?
You will become her next victim! lol

Oh, man....

I have been trying to steer my 15 year old away from certain colleges.

She is in a accelerated program at her school.

It's kinda self paced.

So, she was finished with the entire 9th grade curriculum by December and she starts dual enrollment at Grand Canyon University this Summer.

By the time she graduates High School, she will already have her Associates Degree.

Now, that sounds great, right?

Not entirely, from my perspective.

The girl has no social skills.

ZERO

I had to tell her she had to join the volleyball team in order for her to join the Mathletes.....lol

Now, she wants to go to the Naval Academy.

Take it from a former Sailor, you are rarely sober.

I'm terrified.

I primarily drive my Jeep.

It's always gobs of Shit all over the road in Arizona.

Between the debris, the rocks and the Michelin melting summer heat, I was constantly getting flat tires in my other car, so I traded it in.

But, I still wanted a regular car.

So, I got a 2016 Fiat 500x.

I let my oldest pick the Damn car in the hopes that she would learn to drive.

Nope.

She said she'd rather just get a bus pass.

:gaah:

Yeah, you really can't have schools paying players for the reasons you mentioned. Also if, for example, you start paying the players in the revenue generating sports, you will also have to pay the players in the non-revenue generating sports.

I think that allowing players to make what they can off of their names and likenesses is probably the way to go. That way it's not coming from the school and it's something that any player in any sport can do.

Except is isn't.

Zion going to get paid a lot because he is worth the investment. Non-revenue sport athletes won't get paid because they don't generate revenue for the school. So it isn't true that any player in any sport can do it.

The reality is that it is a very small percentage of student athletes from 2 specific collegiate sports that would actually command money.

I would rather see them lift age restrictions for the draft than pay college athletes to be honest.

Well of course I worry about any injury but this doesn't sound all that serious right now. Brown basically brushed it all aside as typical.

Sounds like they are just going to give him a little rest.

.....and they should err on the side of caution.

They need him to get to the Finals.

You are likely getting Celtics, Raps or Bucks in the 2nd round.

All 3 are challenging.

But, the Raps will be virtually impossible to overcome without a healthy Embiid, now that they have Gasol.

Sit him.

Finish top 4.

It's pick your poison and hope you have the antidote no matter who you face.

So, might as well get healthy.

Pretty much. Ideally he sits against the Heat, Blazers and Pels and is back for OKC and the Dubs.

Pretty typical for the mega large corporations. Especially after a big purchase like Whole Foods.
