Would like their chances more if LeBron just healed up for next season, but if the Kings young super team can make it with him trying this last month it'll be even more impressive. Also I don't believe the Clippers are gonna go away unless they force guys like Lou and Montrezl to sit out games.

I don't know why the Clips wouldn't try to win not much of a difference in late lotto and low tier playoff

I am not so sure I agree with that.

Say they finish as the 8th seed. They would be locked into a first round loss the Warriors and a pick around 17.

But, if they start losing and drop to say 12 or 13, they would have a 7.2% or a 4.7% chance of hitting top 4.

Not saying there isn't value in making the playoffs, but in this case I would rather be out than to barely squeak in the West if I were LAC.

Different story for SAC or LAL, IMO.

As a stand alone series, it's okay.

But, Season 1 set the bar so fricking high, there's just nowhere to go but down.

There's a huge difference for the Clips; their 1st rounder is lottery protected or it goes to the Celtics (same protections next year, then it converts to a 2nd).

Sac doesn't own their first (also Celtics), so they have no reason to hold back. Lakers own their pick but have to go all out with Lebron in tow.
