But let's be honest. He would still be in Portland today whether he wanted to be or not. The real reason he is still in Portland is because he is still on his RFA contract. Once he chooses to resign and take his first UFA contract we can start talking about why he "stayed in Portland".

Some consider him foreign, and you're right. Manu wasn't even the best foreign player on the team. And you could factor Tony Parker in that discussion as well. Manu was probably the 3rd best foreign player in the Spurs dynasty.
