It would be funny. Spent all those years in Cleveland where he didn't have a soul (the first time around), but he made the playoffs every year since his rookie year. Goes to Lakers and doesn't make playoffs. You can't make this shit up if you tried LOL

I would enjoy seeing a 1 vs 8 matchup vs the W's though

I think it's hilarious that the NBA threatened to fine the Pelicans.

Over the past few years, Jr Smith, Deng, Noah, Kanter, Parker have all been healthy scratches or banished from the team.

Yet, nobody got fined.

Well, none of those guys have anywhere near the impact AD has.

Hell, one could argue that playing a couple of those guys would actually help the tank.

I think it may have been Cowherd or one of his guests that made an interesting point about that today.

Either he or his guest made an interesting point. Basically, the point was that while going to New York seems great, they still have the same owner and that is the problem. Said that players don't want to play for a bad owner regardless of what city they are in.

While I'm not sure I agree 100%, I do know that the Lakers couldn't get (or keep) anyone when Short Buss was running things and got Lebron as soon as he was gone.

Same. My only issue with Russ is his shot selection at times but I have nothing bad to say about him as a teammate.

I agree and disagree at the same time.

Because shot selection is a big part of being a good teammate. Russ does seem like a good teammate in a lot of ways. But that selfish streak counts against him too.

While he has the same killer mentality as Kobe or MJ, he just isn't skilled enough as a shooter to play that way. And when he does, he often hurts his team.

Okay you dn't think the lottery has ever been rigged. A suggestion. Start a thread asking NBA fans if they think it's ever been rigged. I'd bet money more people would say that's happened than would say it hasn't.

And you really went out on a limb saying the Spurs weren't a lottery team much between '87 & '97. Actually they were a lottery team only once in that period, in '88 the year before Robinson arrived.

Oh, I don't have to start a poll. I know for a fact people think the lottery has been rigged.

I just don't find it plausible. Way too much to lose for the league to actually do it.

And for every case that looks like it could have been rigged, there are 3-4 that obviously weren't. Which tells me that sometimes it just works out that the obvious team hits #1. And sometimes they should.
