Ha good one. I think JD may be the last to add a piece this very slow offseason. Of course I hope without reason we can somehow secure Yu

i would too, but i don't think the odds are very good for us adding Yu or any other tier 1 or 2 starter. i expect that if we do add one it will a cheap one. just like if we add an outfielder it will be a cheap alternative

Or perhaps it is the Return of the Jedi. But yes I do think if we made a legitimate offer Yu would sign for us. Would not need to overpay like past FA pitcher attempts

Believe that unless we offer a minimum of 5 years with an AAV of 25+M Darvish ends up somewhere else.

That was about what I thought but that would not be first offer. Wonder if some incentives to bring it higher so the base might be a bit lower. One thing I am thinking of is teams may be sandbagging esp high dollar markets due to next season FAs and luxury tax issues. Yu may not go as high as projected. He is still out there just like Arrieta and Cobb with Tampa likely shopping their pitchers. Maybe an opt out after 3 years. Don't think Rangers would give that option for 2. Will keep hoping

I would hope so but if we are as limited on funds as apparently we are how is JD going to pull it off and keep us under 160M
