According to some the Angels are the favorites to capture the second wildcard just behind the Red Sox.

I think JD is very cautious about the farm system these days. And I am not sure Holland or someone similar would be that much of a difference maker. If the Rangers were closer to contention, sure. But this year? With Houston expected to dominate and the Angels likely to be in the mix?

Closers can always be sold at the deadline

He signs for $14 million. If we could have signed him for that we could have traded him mid-July and been out about $8 million and picked up some prospects to help our rebuilding process.
