I am wondering if that Angels will back out and leave him free again. If they did would you want the Rangers to sign him now?
supposedly the Angels and, yes, the Rangers plus the other 28 teams knew about his elbow prior to him being posted and it didn't matter so no the Angels won't back out

  1. Damn, Ozuna to the Cardinals. i was hoping we would get him or Yelich. i do not want to go into the season with DeShields and Robinson/Rua in Center and Left

s
o you would rather go with DeShields and Robinson/Rua?
I think they are gonna pay either Yu or Arrieta and trade for either Harvey, Greinke or Cole. Harvey isn't an Ace, but he has been. Profar isn't the top prospect in the game anymore, but he has been. If Harvey came here and won 14-16 games, I'd hope Profar bounced back with a great year too. I think the trade works for both teams and both players. JMO

I would rather sign Yu and/or Cobb than sign Arietta or trade for Greinke or Harvey.

1:09pm: To the contrary, Bob Nightengale of USA Today tweets that the Fish aren’t interested in dealing Yelich.

1:07pm: The Marlins are informing rivals that they are now willing to trade their last remaining star outfielder, Christian Yelich, according to a report from Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports (via Twitter). Per the report, the return will need to exceed what the team achieved in deals involving Marcell Ozuna (the return in which is still unknown) and Giancarlo Stanton.

Is he asking for too much or are the Rangers offering too little?

I think it would take too much to get Yelich.
I agree that the asking price will steep but I don't think the Rangers want to go into the season with what we have available in the outfield. Our defense out there will stink worse than it did last year

I'd rather you and I play the corner spots this year than set the farm back significantly.

Which explains why the Rangers are looking at Grienke. You get a good TORP and move Choo. Best of both worlds. And then you add a #3 and a closer
