Interesting things starting to surface. A Greinke /Choo deal seems possible.

Dealing for an aging Greinke sounds like a good way to make the Hamels mistake all over again.

At 34 years of age already, Greinke is owed an average of $34.5 million over the next 4 years.

Give me a younger Yu for about $10 million or so less per year and spend the extra elsewhere.

Then there is the matter of 3-5 of our best prospects that we would have to give up.

No thanks.

Plus getting the backside of contract. I like younger.

Well if Choo is in play. Hmmmm yes interest piqued.

Didn’t we come in second place for him when he was a free agent? ( we seem to get second place a lot with free agents btw)

I think his wife is a former Dallas cowboys cheerleader. I’d still probably rather have Greinke over Darvish, especially if that means we are getting rid of Choo.

The Rangers have already offered Profar for Harvey and the Mets wanted more.
There is also a report saying the Rangers would not trade Profar for a player with only one year of control. So that would seem to indicate that they didn't make that offer that some have reported. At this time of the year it is really difficult to know which reports are accurate.

Wondering if the Rangers lucked out on missing Ohtani.
I am wondering if that Angels will back out and leave him free again. If they did would you want the Rangers to sign him now?
